PAUL WESLEY HELPS US MUSE OVER HOW THE FIRST SEASON WILL END

Oh Paul Wesley! You love keeping secrets from us! Which is probably why when we asked you about any surprises we might encounter as the first season of ”Vampire Dairies” slowly begins to wrap up, you didn’t seem to have any big, spoilery news for us. But, still, as always, you left us intrigued by whatever little scrapes you have thrown our way.

NINA DOBREV TALKS VAMPIRE DIAIRES

Nina Dobrev not only posed for a glamorous photo shoot in the latest issue of Seventeen, she also talked about life on the set of Vampire Diaries and what it was like to work with Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.

Nina said that Paul is very professional, whereas Ian is the prankster on set with the best stories from his past projects.

What do you think of the Vampire Diaries news? I can see Ian being a jokster as he’s more of a veteran and feels a little bit more comfortable doing so. I refused the read all the spoilers cause I like to be surprised, so I cannot comment there.

‘Vampire Diaries’: Producer Julie Plec on Katherine’s whereabouts, Damon’s devastation, Grams’ death

Julie, however, gave us the tease we were looking for (which will have us tuning in every Thursday from March 25th ’til forever): “Katherine is not only alive, but she is off and harlot-ing it up somewhere. Last seen in Chicago, she’s probably in Bora Bora right now. She’s kind of a little slut if you think about it.”

Plec promised a lot more of Nina Dobrev onscreen as the naughty Katherine.

Meanwhile, Stefan and Elena’s relationship will hit a serious bump in the road, which won’t go unnoticed by Damon. “[It is] a nearly relationship-ending rough patch that they’re both going to have to fight their way back from,” says Plec. “And of course there’s Damon — mourning the loss of his evil, naughty minx Katherine who doesn’t give a damn about him — right there, maybe realizing that he’s got some feelings for Elena too.”

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Panel at 2010 Paley Fest

Revealing a hint about the March 25 episode, the producers said the tension between Damon and Alaric reaches its climax when Damon’s involvement in Isobel’s death is unveiled. Apart from the guest starring appearance of Melinda Clarke as Matt’s mother, there will be two new mysterious characters introduced in the episode.

Williamson said he’s preparing seven to nine cliffhangers to make sure the show will end the first season with a bang. Paul Wesley said his character Stefan will reveal more layers since he harbors another secret. A new device that goes beyond the vampire compass will also be featured in a future episode.

We have just been given a lot of information. I’m glad though because I’ve been somewhat disappointed in Vamp Diaries lately. I love the first slew of episodes but when the show came back, it’s been kind of annoying to try and follow all the different storylines. I hope they come back around to where they started and it sounds like they just might.

That picture of Damon and Melinda is smoking hot! I think I’m sweating lol.

What do you think of all the new information? What are you most looking forward to that is mentioned above?

VAMPIRE DIARIES NEWS MARCH 4TH NINA DOBREV

Author: Dawn | Filed under: News Blog

The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev gets Seventeen cover

“The first time Paul [Wesley] and I met, I met nine other guys as well because I had already been cast and they were deciding for the Stefan role. I had to read with like 30 studio executives, and they were just kind of watching and analyzing because that was the whole point of the test…they wanted to see who had the best chemistry. And everyone was great, but Paul had this old soul, like a history that you could feel…he seemed like he’d been around longer, and knew more, and he had a grasp for the character different from anyone else.”

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Nina Dobrev Says She Won’t Date Costars, Relates To Bella Swan In Seventeen

Now that she gets to hang out with Paul and his onscreen bro Ian Somerhalder all the time, Nina must have some juice on them, right? “They’re both really great in different kinds of ways.” Um, tell us something we don’t know! “Paul definitely takes his job very seriously He’s very professional. Ian’s the prankster, the jokester. He makes light of every moment, and he’s very exciting and cool. He has the best stories, because he has just experienced so much, and he’s been on so many cool sets and movies. We love each other’s company.”

With such a charmed life, it’s hard to imagine Nina ever went through a rough patch. But she admits her high school days were no easy ride. “Looking back on high school, I just remember specific scenarios and thinking, wow, that was such a big deal at the time, but right now it feels like it never even happened. So I guess if I can give any advice, I would just say that everything will pass, and it’ll feel like it was a big deal over nothing. Life goes on and then you change and other things happen, and everything feels like it’s so much worse afterward. It’ll always get better.”

I think Nina is freaking adorable. She seems very humble, down to earth and just plain nice, which I think is rare.

What do you think of her Seventeen cover, pics, video and interview? Do you relate to anything she said?

LOVE SUCKS

Those well acquainted with Serena and Little J may find this fact hard to believe: Vampire Diaries, The CW’s budding show about bloodsuckers and the teen girls who love and / or get eaten by them, has double the number of Gossip Girl viewers.

What makes it such a hit?  It could be the current cultural zeitgeist of Edward, Bella, Sookie, Bill, and immortal drama.  It could be the lingering teen appeal of star Nina Dobrev (remember her from Degrassi?).  Or maybe it’s just damn fun and funny.

‘VAMPIRES DIARIES’ STAR NINA DOBREV ON ELENA’S LOOK-ALIKE DILEMMA

When it premiered in September, The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” drew the largest audience of any other premiere since the network’s 2006 debut, and it has maintained impressive momentum ever since.  On the heels of a 2010 People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama, the show returns tonight after a nine-week hiatus.

“Degrassi: The Next Generation” alum Nina Dobrev, who recently celebrated her 21st birthday, is pulling double duty. She not only stars as the show’s magnetic ingenue, Elena Gilbert, but also as her civil-war-era doppelgänger, the bloodthirsty vampiress Katherine Pierce.

‘VAMPIRE DIARIES’ STAR KATERINA GRAHAM SAYS NEW EPISODES HAVE ‘CHALLENGES’

When ‘The Vampire Diaires’ returns on tonight, fans will be scrambling to know what’s next for the kids of Mystic Falls, Virginia. While hints were dropped that Elena (Nina Dobrev) could fall prey to the charms of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and forget about Stefan (Paul Wesley), it comes as no surprise that her witchy BFF, Bonnie, may have a crisis on her hands as well.

“Bonnie is definitely going to be faced with some challenges that she was not expecting,”Katerina Graham, who plays Bonnie on the show, told MTV News recently. “And in order to protect her family and her friends, she’s going to have to make some decisions that are going to test her and Elena’s friendship. ONLINE SPOILERS ‘FALSE’ FOR VAMPIRE DIAIRES

The Vampire Diaries returns with its first new episode since mid November, Bloodlines, in which bad-boy vampire dude Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes a sojourn to the Georgia bayous, where he puts the fear of godlessness into an old flame (guest star Gina Torres).

There’s no advance warning in the show’s promos for what happens to dear Elena (Nina Dobrev), who found herself in a precarious situation in November’s cliffhanger, but it’s a safe bet The Vampire Diaries’ heart and soul will embrace the light like a moth to the flame before the night is out.

NEW ‘VAMPIRE DIARIES’ CAST MEMEBER, DILLON CASEY, COULD GIVE PAUL WESLEY A RUN FOR HIS MONEY

A vampire vet is all set to join the cast of “Vampire Diaries” as a guest star, in the new year. Dillon Casey, who starred in the MTV mini-series “Valemont” about…you guessed it…vampires, will be playing a character named Noah, a CW rep confirmed to us.

ABC CUTS V, FLASH FORWARD EPISODES, BUT NOT BY MUCH

It’s sort of official: The relatively low ratings for ABC’s V and FlashForward hurt the shows, but not enough for the network to pull the plug entirely. ABC is cutting its final order for each show by one episode, the Futon Critic site reported:

If it weren’t enough that Stefan had his hands full keeping Elena safe and away from Damon, he has another hurdle coming his way, via ‘Noah’.  Nothing stirs the pot more than a love triangle, oops, I mean quadrilateral. How do you feel about Elena having yet another vampire vying for her attention?

Honestly, when I quickly glanced at the news headline for ABC’s V and FlashForward, I assumed the shows were being cut entirely and I let out a whiny NOOOO!, then exhaled with a ‘Whew’ when I saw it was for only one episode each. After many an episode I finally got into FlashForward and really enjoy it. I had never heard of anything like this before (cutting one episode), but I am glad they are deciding to do this instead of scrap both shows entirely. It like giving someone half a book; just when you get all involved in it’s story, it ends, and there are no more chapters to read. I would have lost my faith in television had that happened. Do you think cutting one episode from each show will ruin the story?
