VAMPIRE DIARIES SCOOP
Yesterday, we gave you a delicious sneak peek into what’s going to happen when Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds out it wasn’t Elena (Nina Dobrev) who he kissed in the season finale of “Vampire Diaries” (let’s just say it won’t be pretty!).
Of course, that was only the start (a pretty juicy one at that!) of our “VD” scoops straight out of Comic-Con 2010. After all, the finale left us with a lot of unanswered questions and high amongst them was whether or not Elena and Katherine would ever come face-to-face.
So, when we sat down with the cast, we made sure to ask … and lucky for us show writer Julie Plec gave us just the answer we were looking for.

WEREWOLVES COMING TO VAMPIRE DIARIES

It may be called The Vampire Diaries, but a new supernatural force is coming to town.
Last season, vampire haters trying to rid Mystic Falls of the undead used a device that caused so much pain, it made it impossible for any vampire to hide their identity. But Tyler Lockwood, Michael Trevino, showed the same reaction to the device, and he wasn’t a vampire. So what caused his unexplainable symptoms?

TV NEWS FOR JUNE 12TH : VAMPIRE DIARIES AND SANCTUARY
Author: k.avalon | Filed under: News Blog, TV Show NewsIS VAMPIRE DIARIES’ PAUL WESLEY REALLY A BLOOD SUCKER? NINA DOBREV SURE THINKS SO!
Source: eonline.com

It could be worse. A report could be going around that Paul Wesley will embark on a rap career.
But that’s not the kind of story his Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev is trying to spread. And after hearing the reasons, we can’t help but wonder if there isn’t some truth to those vampire rumors…
“First, I have fangs,” Paul explained at the Monte Carlo TV Fest. “Second, I am kind of an insomniac. And third, in the first season, I was always able to beat everyone to wherever they were going even though they left before me. Somehow I’d get there ahead of them and I’d be standing there in a black rain coat. And they were like, ‘How’d you do that? How did you get here so fast?’ And so I started playing on that and purposely started trying to do things to freak them out a little,” he joked.
Funny. If we turn around and he’s suddenly standing behind us as we type this…

SCIFI SHOW FINDS SACTUARY IN VANCOUVER
Source: montralgazette.com
VANCOUVER – Ian Tracey’s face is black, blue and bloody, but he’s not getting any love from a stone-faced Amanda Tapping. Dressed in black leathers and knee-high boots, the veteran actor is getting tough with this alien brand of Cybil – an “abnormal” with multiple personalities – because, well, the survival of humanity depends on it.
Welcome to the Vancouver set of Sanctuary – “the little show that could.”
A special-effects and character-driven series recently picked up for its third season by Canadian and US networks, Sanctuary is just the latest Sci-Fi skein to call Vancouver home – carrying on a legacy forged nearly 20 years ago with the birth of X-Files and the eventual installation of the Stargate spin-off family.

TV NEWS: NINA DOBREV JEZEBEL INTERVIEW, SKARSGARD INTERVIEW & NEW TRUE BLOOD POSTER & COVERS

INTERVIEW WITH NINA DOBREV

Nina Dobrev didn’t exactly emerge from out of nowhere to land the highly coveted role of heroine Elena Gilbert on “The Vampire Diaries.” She’d previously spent four years on the Canadian teen drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and had small parts in films such as “Away From Her” and “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” But the show (which is filmed in Decatur and Covington) was a huge step up the Hollywood ladder for the 21-year-old Dobrev, who clearly relishes the challenges The CW network hit presents. We recently spoke with the Bulgarian-born, Toronto-bred beauty about her acting background, her ATL food addictions and what fans can expect from season two of “The Vampire Diaries.”

TRUE BLOOD’S ALEXANDER SKARSGARD INTERVIEW
True Blood fanatics insist that Alexander Skarsgård could floss his teeth with Robert Pattinson. As Eric Northman on HBO’s hit series, the actor spends most of his screen time brooding, biting and just barely concealing his dreamily undead bod. He’s come a long way since his small part in the 2001 flick Zoolander (“orange mocha Frappuccinos!”): He carried HBO’s critically acclaimed miniseries Generation Kill, scored a part in theforthcoming Lars von Trier film Melancholia and is set to tantalize True Blood fanatics everywhere when the show’s third season premieres on Sunday 13. We sat down with the smokin’ Swede to talk vampire fetishes and fraternal mix-ups.
Let’s start with a confession: Certain TONY staffers—and we’ll avoid using names here—are total fang bangers.
What’s that?
Oh, you know, people who want to make vampire babies.
That’s always good to know when you’re doing an interview.

TVD STARS AMONG MONTE CARLO TV FEST ATTENDEES
Author: verushka820 | Filed under: News Blog‘VAMPIRE DIARIES’ STARS AMONG MONTE CARLO TV FEST ATTENDEES
Source: Aceshowbiz
Monte Carlo TV Festival this year has been kicked off with a number of celebrities attending the opening ceremony. The first day of the annual event saw Paul Wesley and his “The Vampire Diaries” co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder gracing the red carpet for a press photo call.
At the festival held in Monaco, they each took turns making a pairing combination. While Paul and Nina looked camera-ready, Ian appeared scruffy and unkempt. The three of them were fresh from promoting the CW series in London last week.
Striking and lovely as always. I have to admit though, I didn’t realize Monte Carlo had a tv fest!

MOVIE NEWS MAY 24TH NINA DOBREV IN DEATHGAMES, PRINCE OF PERSIA INTERVIEW WITH JAKE GYLLENHAAL
Author: Dawn | Filed under: Interviews, Movie News, News Blog‘Vampire Diaries’ star Nina Dobrev plays ‘Deathgames’ (exclusive)
Dobrev_nina_150 Nina Dobrev, star of CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” has joined the cast of “Deathgames,” MPCA’s indie action movie starring Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson.

James Remar, who plays Dexter’s father on Showtime’s “Dexter,” and Derek Mears, who inhabited Jason Vorhees in the recent ”Friday the 13th,” also have been cast in the movie, which is shooting in Louisiana.
The story centers on a young man (Lutz) who is kidnapped and forced into the savage world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for entertainment of the online masses in games orchestrated by Jackson.
INTERVIEW: Jake and Gemma’s “Hot” Desert Adventure!
TeenHollywood: Is there anything about your character Dastan that sends a positive message to coming of age teens who need to recognize their potential?
Jake: Yeah. He was an orphan and he was brought into a family, or the royal family by the King because of a good deed that he did and because he was pure of heart. A lot of things kind of threaten us all the time and to not listen to our own hearts, to make choices based on what other people think are cool or what other people say are cool (just doesn’t work).

The lesson for Dastan is to follow his own heart and to influence other people around him like his brothers and his family to follow theirs too. And when he does this, it all works out for the best . Ultimately it’s not painless but it’s for the best and I hope that kids can take away that if they listen to their hearts, they’ll never really go wrong.
What do you think of Nina Dobrev being cast in Deathgames?
From the commercials, The Prince of Persia looks pretty good. Do you plan to see it?
