At ‘blizz.con 09’ the new expansion for World of WarCraft has just been announced. It’s called ‘Cataclysm’. Many things you know have changed in this expansion. The concept story for this game is that the dragon Deathwing.

Now with this concept in mind there will be some new content to the world of WarCraft which are:

Two New Playable Races: Worgen, Alliance and Goblins, Horde; Increased Level Cap: Advance to level 85 and earn new abilities and talents. Classic Zones Remade: Familiar zones across the original continents of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms have been reforged. Flying Mounts in Azeroth. Guild Advancement. New High-Level Content: Explore newly opened parts of the world, including Uldum, Grim Batol, and the great sunken city of Vashj’ir. New PvP Zone & Rated Battlegrounds. Archaeology: Master a new secondary profession. New Race and Class Combinations.

Blizzard also announced news on ‘Diablo 3’. There will be the new character class: the Monk. So far this class is obviously inspired by the Shaolin Monk which one could assume this class going to focus on a lot of hand to hand fighting and some good all martial arts action. Regardless the Monk will be joining the fray for adventure with the Barbarian, Wizard and Witch Doctor were hopefully this game will release by sometime in 2010.

This sounds really awesome – very good decision of Blizzard to include so much changings in the 3rd World of WarCraft-Addon. And it seems to be worth checking out when it’s released! And of course every news about Diablo 3 are exciting news – let’s cross our fingers, the release will really be next year!
