THE DEMON’S LEXICON BY SARAH REES BRENNAN: BOOK COVERS AROUND THE WORLD

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Valerie

The Demon’s Lexicon is a book about demons, obviously, but not in the typical way. It’s a dark, gorgeous fantasy where nothing can be predicted.  So you’ll definitely love this book!

United States

So I had the one on the left to look at for the duration of my reading. It was not cool. For some reason, I think the cover of the left is a little disgusting. Now for the one on the right, I’m pretty impressed. It’s got great coloring and a great picture too.

Spain

I love the background and the coloring, but the glow is a little too distracting. However, the coloring is just so good that I’ll let it slide for once!

United Kingdom

This reminds me of graffiti you’d find on a wall. It seems kind of pink, so I’m gonna dub this the “Grapefruit.” I still prefer actual grapefruit though.

German

Oooohhh, what a spooky cover! *cues spooky noises and spooky vibes*

I have one issue though: Mae has pink hair. Pink! Is that on the cover? I don’t think so…

Japan

I think this cover is cute. It makes me smile just to look at it!

Indonesian

I really love the background for this one. And the sword. And the talisman. And Nick. And IT LOOKS GOOD. End of story!

What’s your take on these covers? What do you think about the colorings?
