NEW MOON BOOK CLUB: CHAPTER 7 – REPETITION

Chapter 7 Repetition
By: ifellhard

Summary:
In Chapter 7, Bella visits the Cullen house wanting to hear Edward’s voice again.  She is able to remember without pain, but the pain catches up to her.  She hopes that déjà vu was the key to hearing his voice.  The house looks creepy with overgrown plants – like “a fitting haunt for vampires”.

Bella leaves the house to see Jacob and comments to herself that she’s developing a new kind of addiction.  Jacob asks her if she will still visit when the bikes are done and she says that she will visit as long as he lets her.  She lets him know that she really likes spending time with him and they agree that they have to be responsible occasionally to make sure to appease Charlie and Billy.  They set up homework sessions two times a week (with recklessness every day in between).

Questions for consideration:

Since we know by now that Bella’s dreams often have hidden meanings, what did you think of the dream that Bella had with the sea of ferns and hemlock trees?

Why do you think that Bella is so anxious to go cliff diving?

What is your opinion of the La Push “gang”?  Do you think that they are harmless as the Billy and the other tribal council members believe or are they something more menacing?
