There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

(Luce gets nervous a lot around Daniel and Cam, and in many of her sticky situations.)

(The city that Todd was from.)

P: Penn
(Luce’s other best friend; she is a do-gooder and actually pretty normal.)

Q: Questions
(Luce has so many questions about Daniel, why she feels like she knows him, and why is he so off and on with her?)

R: Reds
(The nickname for the cameras that are posted in every place of Sword & Cross to monitor the students.)

S: Sword & Cross
(The “re-form” school Luce attends.)

T: Todd Hammond
(Another new student at Sword & Cross.)

U: Udell
(The absentee headmaster of Sword & Cross.)

V: Velvet
(The jewelry box cam gave to Luce with her necklace in it was a velvet box.)

W: White Peonies
(Luce’s favorite flower.)

X: Xerox
(Luce’s life like a xerox machine, happens over and over, copying her fate of death every time she falls in love with Daniel. (Long shot but works). 😛 )

Y: Yearning
(The deep feeling Luce gets whenever she sees Daniel.)

Z: Zane
(Mary’s last name – who is Molly.)
