Twilight jewelry for back-to-school

www.moviematics.com: Teens across America lined up to see the much-anticipated Twilight Eclipse and now return to school donning Twilight-inspired jewelry. Twilight charms for bracelets, anklets, and necklaces are the rage and charm factories have geared up to meet the demand.

As students hit the school grounds for the coming year, you may notice a strange thing: students at Centennial High School or Central High School may have charms not with “CHS,” but instead with “FHS” for “Fork High School.” If you are going to get caught up in the school spirit this year, why your own school when you can craft a bracelet around a fictional school in Fork, Washington. Add a graduation cap charm and an “FHS” charm to your bracelet and you will be good to go.

Edward Cullen Strips Down in Twilight Spoof Film

www.people.com:  It’s a lot of pressure to walk in Robert Pattinson’s footsteps as vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen, but somebody’s got to do it.
Matt Lanter, the hunky actor who plays 90210‘s Liam Court, has stepped up to the plate to play Edward in the Twilight saga spoof, Vampires Suck.

But judging from Lanter’s words, it sounds like the spoofed version will be a bit more racy than the original flicks. “I’m naked in the movie,” the actor, 27, told PEOPLE at the Teen Choice Awards in L.A. on Sunday.

‘Twilight’ And Its Obsessive Fans Help Cast Sweep The Teen Choice Awards

hollywoodcrush.mtv.com: It seems only fair that “The Twilight Saga,” which has been sweeping fan-voted award shows continuously since they first hit the scene in 2008, should win the “Most Obsessive Fans” award at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards. Who, Twilighters? Never in a million years!

Ashley Greene accepted the surfboard award, saying, “You guys are so fantastic and amazing and I can’t thank you guys enough for being there for us. I know we all really, really appreciate you guys.” But she knew the real person fans wanted to hear something from — and the real reason they are so obsessive — was Robert Pattinson, and she tried to get him to come up to the mic.

Taylor Hotter Than Rob, Rob Doesn’t Care

ca.eonline.com: When you watch the Teen Choice Awards on Fox tonight get ready for the Taylor Lautner show.

The New Moon star wins big, accepting three awards on stage, even beating out Robert Pattinson for Choice Male Hottie (who won last year with Megan Fox) and Choice Movie Actor Fantasy.

So was their any bitter blood between the costars who were seated next to each other? And how did Kristen Stewart‘s absence affect the show?

First off, Taylor and Rob couldn’t have been more supportive. Or couldn’t care less, you decide. After losing Choice Hottie not even 30 seconds went by before he looked super happy deep into convo and laughing with Ashley Greene.

“It’s great to win something outside of Twilight,” R.Pattz told the audience during his acceptance speech.

Listen to Vampire Weekend’s ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ Soundtrack Song

Vampire Weekend’s contribution to the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” soundtrack, “Jonathan Low,” has finally made its way to the ‘net, and it’s actually a surprising contrast to the New York-based band’s output. It tends toward the dreamy rather than the crisp, tight tunes of the band’s last “Contra” and self-titled sets. Take “Holiday,” for example, a track whose video debuted just yesterday.

Hassler defends Twilight lettering

Kurt Hassler pretty much invented the notion of selling comics to girls when he was the head buyer at Borders, so it’s not surprising that he has continued that trend as publishing director of Yen Press. And indeed, Yen’s graphic novel adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight sold 66,000 copies in its first week of release, which is a pretty good indication that Hassler knows what he is doing, regardless of what the rest of us may think. While most comics folk grudgingly admitted that the book itself wasn’t bad, the lettering got a lot of criticism online. So naturally, the subject came up when CBR’s Kiel Phegley interviewed Hassler earlier this week. Hassler parried the question, essentially saying that the critics didn’t understand what the artist was doing.

Tyson Houseman talks ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’

Tyson Houseman, who portrays “Quil” in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, took time to discuss with a select few fansites his experience in being a part of one of the world’s biggest film franchises.

Q:  So even though your character was introduced in New Moon, you really didn’t get to jump into the action until Eclipse.  Did you kind of feel a little bit like Quil – that you were left out of the fun? And was it worth the wait getting to participate more in Eclipse?

Tyson:  Yeah, there were actually a lot of similarities between me and the character.  In New Moon, like you said, I only had like one day of shooting on set, and so every time I would see the other wolf guys they would always talk about all the fun times they were having on set, and stuff like that.  And I kinda felt like I was missing out on that.  And so I was really excited for Eclipse when we started that one.   I was a wolf and a member of the wolf pack.  So I got to hang out with the guys again and do all the stuff with them and that was really similar to what the character Quil was doing, too.

Q:  Imprinting is a huge part of the book.  Do we see that addressed at all in Eclipse, and if so, how do you feel about your character having to go through with that?

Tyson:  Well, I mean, I was a little worried at first because it can come off as a little bit creepy to someone who doesn’t actually know what the whole idea of imprinting means, but they do a really good job of explaining it, and introducing it, and everything like that.  And it’s portrayed really well in Eclipse so that you actually understand what it really is and so that people aren’t going to be leaving saying, “Oh that’s creepy.  He’s in love with a two year old.”

Rachelle Lefevre speaks out against puppy mills in new PSA

If there’s one thing Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Rachelle Lefevre has made perfectly clear about herself over the past few years, it’s that she’s an animal lover.

She’s been working with Best Friends Animal Society for quite a while now, promoting the adoption of animals from shelters rather than puppy mills and the like.

I don’t now about you guys but I see a face in that balloon art Rob did (among other things), maybe he still has some Dalí inside of him :) Just like Rob some of the other Twilight stars have been helping out in charity work, like Rachelle with  PSA, Christian Serratos with PETA, Peter, Kellan, etc., in all those different societies it’s good that they do something good and positive with the fame they’ve gained. What do you think of this?

What do you think of the new released Eclipse soundtrack song? Where do you think it would go?

Will you be attending the twilight events?

What do you think of Tyson’s interview? Something that caught your attention?

Have you read the twilight comic? What do you think of it?

Top 12 Film Industry Stories of 2009:#2: New Moon Eclipses Box Office

Once in awhile, a box office story occurs that almost exists outside of its individual achievement. The Twilight Saga: New Moon is such a situation in that its box office behavior not only exemplifies a franchise on the rise but also simultaneously encapsulates a decade worth of box office trending with one event.

I speak of course of the opening weekend of New Moon. There are twin aspects to this discussion. The first is an individual examination of the success of the Twilight sequel. The second requires a bit of box office history. Let’s discuss this portion before talking about the Summit Entertainment side of the story. More here.

Exclusive Interview: Kirsten Prout is Lucy in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE

Nineteen-year-old Canadian born actress Kirsten Prout has been making a name for herself in film and television, since getting bitten by the acting but at the very young age of two. After her feature film debut in 2005 as Abby, sidekick to Jennifer Garner’s character in the superhero flick Elektra, she went on to play Amanda, the girl-next-door love interest for Kyle on the ABC Family drama Kyle XY.
This June, Kirsten Prout will be in her most visible project to date, as vampire Lucy in the highly anticipated The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In the third installment of the popular film franchise, her character is seen in flashbacks that give insight into the backstory of Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and how he was created.

In this exclusive interview, the rising star talked to IESB about the experience of playing her darkest role yet, in such a high-profile film. More here.

I am so excited to begin watching ‘The Deep End’. I absolutely love Rachelle and I don’t think I saw enough of her in ‘Twilight’ so I would love to see her stretch her acting legs some more for us! Do you plan on watching the premiere episode on January 21st?

The buzz for Anna Kendrick is really great. She definitely has a bright future and I can’t wait for her next projects!

Do you have the iPhone Transformer app? What do you think of it?

I am pleased to see another fresh face for ‘Eclipse’. Kirsten Prout seems to have a good head on her shoulders and is pretty modest about her career thus far. I can’t wait to see her performance!

Rachelle Levefre

Movie name: Do you know me 2009 (Caro’s Pick)

rachelle lefevre in do you know me Pictures, Images and Photos

Review: Ellie Carter is recently graduated and has it all. While celebrating with friend and boyfriend, she comes across a milk carton with a picture of a missing child that looks a lot like her. As a prank, they call the toll free number and she realizes that this person could be her. The more she finds out, the closer she gets to getting herself and beloved ones killed. This movie had intense scenes, different from seeing her as Victoria, but a good movie.

TV Show: Big Wolf on Campusyear 1999

Review: The week before he returns to school for his senior year, popular High School jock Tommy Dawkins is bitten and turned into a werewolf. The only person Tommy Dawkins can turn to for help is the school nerd and Goth Fantasy Guild President Merton J Dingle. Now Tommy & Merton while still looking for a cure for Tommy’s condition fight a whole slew of baddies in Pleasantville including Mummies, Vampires, 50′s Bullies, Witches. I mostly remember Rachelle from this show, when I saw that she would play Victoria, I was happy, she definitely understood the genre.

Billy Burke

Movie Name: Untraceable 2008 (Dawn’s Pick)

Photobucket

Review: Billy Burke plays Detective Eric Box. It’s a race against the clock as they try to figure out the identity of the man who is torturing/killing people and putting it on the internet. Although it’s graphic and sickening at times, it’s an interesting movie and definitely worth seeing.

Movie Name: Fracture 2007

Review: Fracture is one of my all time favorites. Billy Burke is perfect as Lt. Robert ‘Rob’ Nunally, the man having an affair with Ted Crawford’s wife. Detective Nunally is called to the scene of a crime, where he finds his lover shot by her husband. Despite confessing, Ted Crawford wiggles his way out of it. Sadly Nunally dies at the end, but his character plays a pivotal part in in the movie.

Jaime Campbell Bower

Movie Name: Sweeny Todd 2007 (Erin’s Pick)

Photobucket

Review: You’re probably not the least but interested in this if you don’t like blood, but just to be safe: this is a bloody movie. But it’s a well done adaptation from the stage, and actors you didn’t know could sing do an amazing job. Jamie Campbell Bower actually has an amazing voice, and you worry about his Anthony getting involved with Sweeney from the get go. With Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, you know it’ll be well acted. Funny and incredibly morbid blend well together; just don’t see it if you’re going to be eating soon.

Jackson Rathbone

TV Show: Criminal Minds 2009 (Chris’s pick)

Photobucket

Review: Jackson gave an amazing performance in this drama tv series. He was the killer in this episode, but with a multiple personailty disorder, his ‘normal’ side, was a scared young guy that could be very innocent, his counterpart was a female with a nasty lust for vengence. He/She takes on young good looking men, that are the typical jerks. Jackson really protrayed the tormented character to a ‘T’, felt so real, and made me see that this young man is a fantastic actor.

After being abruptly replaced in the cast of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Rachelle Lefevre says fan support has kept her spirits up.

Lefevre was replaced with Bryce Dallas Howard for “Eclipse,” supposedly over scheduling conflicts. (The actress accepted a role on the independent film “Barney’s Version,” but has claimed she would have been able to shoot both movies.) Afterward, Lefevre tells Extra, fans leapt to her defense.

“I’m on Twitter and I remember opening up my Twitter… somehow in 140 characters my fans managed to write me things that were so unbelievable,” the actress says. “[O]n YouTube… a bunch of fans from all over the world made me a tribute video. This girl from Australia collected stuff from all over the world. I mean they’ve just been incredible. I wrote on Twitter: ‘If I could travel the world and hug you all personally, I would’ — because they really carried me through.”

Though the character of Victoria is more prominent in “Eclipse” and barely figures in the book version of “New Moon,” Lefevre says screenplay writer Melissa Rosenberg beefed up the role for the second “Twilight” movie.

“They wrote a lot of fun stuff for me from ‘Twilight’ to ‘New Moon,’” she says. “In the book, Victoria is not that present and they really did their best. Melissa Rosenberg, our screenwriter, told me that she loved writing Victoria and there was great room for that. So she wrote a lot of stuff for me. I really hope it makes it into the film. You never know, because I haven’t seen it.”

“New Moon” opens Nov. 20.
