Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley recently shared more details about his character, Stefan in a recent interview with the CW. He talked about Stefan’s love for Elena, Stefan’s sneaky speed, and the creepy vampire makeup.

First, Paul explained why his character came back for Elena. He said that Stefan is a nomad,and that he can’t really stay in one place for more than five or ten years because he doesn’t age. He returns to Mystic Falls because that’s his hometown,and he sees Elena. He thinks he’s in love with her, and now has a mission to obtain her. He said there will be more of a “reveal,” later on in the show.
