A new kind of vampire film is coming to theaters and its not a love triangle and its certainly not pretty. Daybreakers, written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierig, will be released in January of 2010.

The horror movie’s principal photography took place in Australia in 2007 and stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill.

The premise is that is 2019, a bizarre plague has turns Earth’s entire human race into blood-thirsty vampires. Because the population is dwindling fast due to the ravenous parasitic beings, the vampires begin a process of farming the few remaining humans to save their species.
