TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS FOR SEPT 12:OFFICIAL GUIDE UPDATE, BILLY BURKE, NEW POLL

Stephenie Meyer Reveals Status of “The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide”

“The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide” by Stephenie Meyer been available for pre-order on Amazon for what seems like years and years and it still doesn’t have a release date.  Twifans took the opportunity to ask the author about the Guide during the recent fan press junket and here’s a little of what she had to say about it:

Oh no, no, it’s continuing. It just…it keeps evolving. So then we have to catch up… I don’t know. I hope that when it comes out, it’s amazing. Because it seems like a lot of effort has been put into it at this point. And it is kind of evolving, and “let’s do this, no let’s do this”. It’s going to have a lot of great information, and it’s really cool. I think my favorites are the genealogy charts for the Quileutes. They are beautiful….they’re lovely.

Well, there’s a lot of people involved and then collating all this information and putting it all together. It’s a lot of…..it’s interesting, because there have been some guides put out that have SO much misinformation, they are dead wrong; I think you can figure out from the books, they’re dead wrong! So it’s my mission that this has everything correct. Which would be great. Hopefully, not forever…..to go on it, we’ll see. You know….movies interrupt things a lot. Movies are a time-sucker!

I’m so glad to know that Stephenie is still working on the Official Guide.  I have been anxiously awaiting a release date for quite some time.  With raising a family, working on the films, and all of her other commitments, I’m impressed that she has time for it at all!

Seeing that there will be a Rob and Kristen audio commentary for the DVD makes me so happy!  I really enjoyed the one that they did on the first one.  I’m also glad to see that there will be deleted scenes.  I was really bummed that they didn’t include deleted scenes on the “New Moon” DVD.
