TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS: NEW “BREAKING DAWN” IMAGES IN EW, SOUNDTRACK RUMORS, & MORE

“THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1” COVERS EW‘S FALL MOVIE PREVIEW ISSUE

While this may come as a shock to some, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen are covering the Fall Movie Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly that just hit news stands.   The issue features shots of the happy couple on their honeymoon on Isle Esme.  The cover features a shirtless Edward and a bikini-clad Bella in the water in a shot that looks like a close-up version of one of the sneak-peeks from earlier in the summer.   We also see a very high-quality shot of the couple playing a game of chess with red and white pieces on a black and white board, a nice little allusion to the cover art on the Breaking Dawn novel.   There is also a shot of a freaked-out looking Edward in the background while Bella talks on the phone, holding her hand over her exposed midriff.

EVANESCENCE WOULD LOVE TO BE ON “BREAKING DAWN” SOUNDTRACK

In a recent interview with MTV, Evanescence band members share that they would love for their new song “My Heart Is Broken” to land a spot on the soundtrack for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”.   They also reveal that they have tried in the past to get a song on the soundtracks for other Twilight Saga films, but have not been successful.

“I’ve been screaming for [new song] ‘My Heart Is Broken’ to land in that, because I think it would fit the story so well,” drummer Will Hunt said. “I got sucked into the ‘Twilight’ vortex by the girls at home, so by default, I’ve got to watch it.”

“I think that would be awesome, actually,” frontwoman Amy Lee added.

KRISTEN STEWART FILMING “SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN” IN LONDON

Contrary to some reports, filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman” in London has NOT been affected by the riots. The rumor started with a false tweet that read:

“A friend of mine is stuck in London w/ #KristenStewart’s team. They JUST stopped #SnowWhite prep work until riots die down #prayforlondon”.

A spokesperson for Universal has told The Hollywood Reporter that the reports of production delays are untrue.

The film is actually being shot outside of London at the Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England (approximately 20 miles away from London’s SoHo neighborhood).

Yeah…it looks like I’ll be adding another magazine to my Twilight Saga collection.  *smirk*  I love the scans and I’m dying to know what Edward and Bella are looking at in the water scene.  They’re on a private island on their honeymoon…what else is there to look at besides your new spouse?

What would you think of Evanescence making an appearance on one of the soundtracks for “Breaking Dawn”?  I, for one, am disappointed that they haven’t already been used.  Not to slight anyone, but Amy Lee’s voice would have been perfect for some scenes in “New Moon”, even if they didn’t use “My Immortal”.

I’m glad to hear that Kristen and the rest of her crew are safe, despite reports to the contrary.   On that note, please keep the people of England in your thoughts and prayers.   There have been riots reported in other parts of the country as well.   It saddens me to see that the world did not learn from the L.A. riots of 1992.   The old adage that “those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it” is certainly ringing true.  If any of you readers are in the UK, take the written words of Edward Cullen to heart and “Be safe.
