TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS APRIL 6TH: ROBERT PATTINSON, STEPHENIE MEYER, ASHLEY GREENE, JACKSON RATHBONE, BREAKING DAWN

Ashley Greene: The Bombshell

www.glamour.com: Ashley Greene, 24, is beginning to see a future beyond Alice Cullen. Yes, the second-to-last Twilight installment will be released this fall, but she’s also starring in a new comedy, Butter, in theaters later this year. Just days before her breakup with Joe Jonas she talked with writer Josh Patner about everything—vampirey and not—that’s to come.

GLAMOUR: You have a truckload of experience with the Twilight films, but you are also just getting started. It’s kind of funny, right?

ASHLEY GREENE: I still am extremely green in some ways. And so each time I work on a character, it is very exciting, very scary.

GLAMOUR: How do you define the rest of your career after being part of this huge Twilight phenomenon so early on?

ASHLEY GREENE: It is difficult because people look at you as that character. I want to play a role of a 24-year-old woman, not 17-year-old girls. So I have picked a couple of films like Butter to show that. And it’s perfectly fine not to do anything for a year if I don’t find the right thing.

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ star shares a view from the set location

www.examiner.com: The cast and crew, however, are still hard at work in Squamish, British Columbia. The town boasts gorgeous mountain and sea backdrops, much like those seen in the previous Twilight series films. One of the Breaking Dawn castmembers present in the area, Judi Shekoni (“Zafrina” of the Amazonian Coven), was kind enough to share a new glimpse of the town’s scenery on Twitter.

Wedding scene shot and complete for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

www.examiner.com: So many are up in arms about the conclusion of the Harry Potter franchise of films coming to a close this summer when Deathly Hallows Part Two is released. Yet there is another group of Twi-hard fans who may be even more upset because filming is about to wrap on their favorite film franchise.

MTV is reporting that there is only about a week or two left for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and that cast members are now teasing fans that the big wedding scene has been shot. You know which one I’m talking about…the one between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) of course.

Mia Maestro tweeted this past Saturday this little cryptic message: “Long wedding night until 6 am. Everyone was SO neatly frocked up 🙂 Just about to start facing this Saturday…”

Judi Shekoni speaks up about ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’

www.examiner.com: One of the most anticipated of those casting announcements was for the unique role of “Zafrina,” the Amazonian Coven vampire who can project visual illusions into the minds of her subjects.

The one chosen for that role was Judi Shekoni, who hails from the U.K. Shekoni has been a working actress for more than a decade, and she is one of the more enthusiastic new cast members for The Twilight Saga, as she was, prior to becoming “Zafrina,” a big fan of the series.

You were a fan of the Twilight series before you got the role of Zafrina in Breaking Dawn, so when you read the series, did you picture yourself as any of the characters?

Yep, I was a fan. Well, when you read a book you always see yourself as being the character that is telling the story so I guess I lived all the books as Bella, but thinking about it I would have made a very strange and unusual Bella!

Jackson Rathbone Hid Broken Rib from Twilight Producers

www.teenhollywood.com: Jackson Rathbone suffered in silence after breaking a rib while shooting the latest Twilight movie – he refused to let producers know about his injury because he wanted to perform his own stunts.

The hunk, who plays vampire Jasper in the series, wore a rib splint under his costume to help him through action scenes for the upcoming fourth installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.

But Rathbone didn’t want to risk production staff finding out about his pain in case they made a stunt double fill in for him.

‘Twilight’ fans are on Team Meyer

www.usatoday.com: When Stephenie Meyer walks into a room of Twilight fans, there’s no doubt she’s their undisputed vampire queen.

Ten lucky Twilight fans from around the world have come to this metropolitan Canadian city to meet the mega-selling author whose young-adult novels about an alluring vampire and his human soul mate have entranced them since 2005.

It’s hard to say who’s enjoying this total Twilight talkfest more — the attendees or the writer.

“I just love having the chance to sit down with a small group of fans,” says Meyer, who is looking a little more Hollywood these days and a bit less like a suburban mom of three. “Bigger events are just too nerve-racking.”

For this literary star, the days of chatting with a few fans at a local bookstore are over. Meyer is an international celebrity. Her books sell in dozens of countries. The film versions are hotly anticipated. Fan sites have gone viral.

But like seasoned journalists (many of these fans blog about the series), they’re also here to ferret out juicy details: When will Meyer publish a new novel? What’s it like being on the Twilight film set? What’s new in The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, a 543-page encyclopedic companion that Little, Brown will publish in hardcover for $24.99 on April 12?

Kristen Stewart Is ‘Great As A Vampire,’ Jamie Campbell Bower Says

www.mtv.com: Jamie Campbell Bower was thrust into the world of “Twilight” as Caius in “New Moon,” and he’ll be back vamping it up in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” next year. And the actor admits that as he preps to return to the “Twilight” set in 2012 for the final “Twilight Saga” movie, fans of the franchise will get to see just how bad Caius and the rest of the Volturi are.

“Well, [director] Bill Condon, he brings something wonderful and a sort of theatricalness to the whole film,” Bower explained to MTV News when he stopped by to talk about his new Starz series “Camelot.”

Robert Pattinson Talks with MTV Leaked Breaking Dawn Photos, Jumping Rob, Sex Scenes and much more

MTV news set down recently at the Water for Elephants press junket with Robert Pattinson to discuss Breaking Dawn scenes, his feeling toward the leaked images, working with animals, movie rumors, TV shows and much more.

Robert Pattinson Calls ‘Breaking Dawn’ Sex Scene ‘Incredible’: “It’s kind of incredible,” he said. “I saw a prelim of it. [Bill] has really, really good ideas for it.”

Robert Pattinson Fumes Over ‘Breaking Dawn’ Photo Leak: “It’s just ridiculous. I literally can’t believe that it happened,” Pattinson said regarding the photos, which show his character, Edward, and Bella (Kristen Stewart) on their honeymoon and Bella going through what appears to be her vampire transformation.

Robert Pattinson Talks ‘Jumping Rob’ And Googling Himself: “If you feel bad, then you have this compulsion to look at it to make yourself feel worse,” he said. “If you’re in a good mood, you have better stuff to do…It’s made self loathing a lot easier to access.”

Its nice that Ashley is thinking in those younger fans that look up to her. People have always followed those that they like in trends, but right now with the new generation of teens it’s more important to keep an eye on them. What did you think of Ashley’s interview? How have you liked her portrayal of Alice Cullen?

Wow, poor Jackson. He must have been enjoying his stunt work for not to tell anyone 😉 Last time while filming Eclipse he got hurt too and didn’t do anything until people started to notice. Kristen got hurt too, while filming Breaking Dawn, they must be working really hard on their stunts since it’s the last movie. What did you think of that?

It must have been amazing to meet Stephenie Meyer with fans of all around the world. I would really like to hear an audio interview or a more personal review from the fans that attended the interview since fans where the ones doing the questions new information must have been revealed. I really hope she writes more about Jacob and Renesmee in the future or that at least we get more information about them in the Twilight Guide. What did you think of this? What would you have asked her?
