NO LONDON PREMIERE? BUMMER!

www.blog.zap2it.com: Sorry, London, but you just can’t compete with Knoxville when it comes to vampires. That sucks. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” won’t be getting an official London premiere — you know, the kind with red carpets, paparazzi and rumors about whether Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart stayed at the same hotel the night before.

Instead, as confirmed by Gossip Cop, “New Moon” will rise to a “fan event” Nov. 11 with some cast members possibly on hand. As planned, the movie will get a world premiere Nov. 16 in Los Angeles. The next night, Stewart and co-star Taylor Lautner are scheduled to attend a special second premiere in Knoxville, Tenn., to benefit a children’s charity.

Well, this is a real let down for you Londoners. Had you planned on attending a UK premiere?

Am I the only one that just can’t keep up with all the new Twilight and Vampire merchandise? It seems like everyday there is some wonderful new item I just NEED to have. Here is the latest in the wacky world of Vampire merch:

WE LOVE VAMPS, BUT DO WE REALLY NEED TO DRINK BLOOD TOO?

www.cinematical.com: You’d have to be living under rock not to have realized a pop culture vampire invasion over the past year, thanks mainly to The Twilight Saga and to television shows like True Blood and The Vampire Diaries.

Now, though, it looks like those companies looking to capitalize on this whole vampire trend have taken things a bit too far by introducing a new energy drink called Blood Energy Potion. As you can see…the Blood Energy Potion comes in one of those blood bags that you get at the hospital, and, according to Urban Collector (where you can pre-order the drink), “…not only does Blood Energy Potion have a similar nutritional makeup to real blood, but it has the same color, look, and consistency of blood.”

This seems a bit far-fetched and honestly kind of gross. Would you buy this?

Now onto the woMAN herself. As you may have read in the past few months, Stephenie Meyer is kind of a big thing. I know, I know…Shocker right?! Here is the latest in Steph news:

VARIANT COVERS FOR STEPH’S COMIC BOOK. GREAT, MORE STUFF I GOTTA BUY!

www.mtv.com: Last week, we gave you the first look inside “Female Force: Stephenie Meyer,” the comic book biography of “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer. Now, we have another exclusive peek at the comic—but this time, we’re bringing you a brand new cover image.

Back when the project was first announced, we told you that publisher Bluewater Productions was planning to release it in two versions: a standard-size comic and a limited-edition, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks, Washington, the town where “Twilight” takes place. Now, to go along with their special cover only available in Forks retailer Dazzled by Twilight, Bluewater has told MTV News that another Forks-based shop, 98331 Gear, will be carrying the book—complete with a brand new cover exclusive to that shop.

Being a comic geek, I feel the familiar pulling at my heartstrings and of course my wallet here. I MUST have that limited comic book! Will your purchase the Female Force Comic?

As though the new versions of the comic weren’t enough, Hot Topic is going to lay down some merchandise hurtin’ on you next month too.

I was in Hot Topic yesterday and they have signs advertising that the new merchandise for “New Moon” will be out on Thursday, Oct. 1. I talked to one of the girls that work there and she said they have “5 large boxes” in the back that are sealed with warnings not to open before then. She also said they will be putting things out after close on Wednesday to have everything ready for Thursday and that what they had now was a very small teaser.

Oh, what could these new items be? I can’t wait to see! In the meantime…Here are my must-have Twilight Saga merchandise picks:
