ROB ZOMBIE UNDERSTANDS THE TWILIGHT OBSESSION!

MTV.com: As the current mastermind behind Michael Myers, one of the most iconic horror villains of all time, it’s easy to imagine Rob Zombie’s head spinning at the mere mention of “Twilight” or “True Blood,” the two franchises most responsible for today’s teenage vampire obsession.

But the “Halloween II” director’s attitude toward the current craze is actually quite different. In fact, he understands it.

“Vampires seem to be the monster that pops up the most frequently, because it’s hard to do other ones,” Zombie explained to MTV News. “It’s hard to make a sexy wolf-man.”

The thought of Rob Zombie, the director responsible for gruesome gore-fests like “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects,” taking in a quiet night of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan’s romantic escapades immediately ranks as one of the greatest unseen Hollywood moments of all time. But Zombie’s own one-sentence review of “Twilight” might be even more priceless: “I’m sure I’d enjoy it a lot more if I was a 14-year-old girl!”

I just love Rob Zombie and I am not too surprised by his comments here. He clearly is a huge fan of monster movies, so why wouldn’t he understand our fascination with Vamps? But, this just makes me love him even more!
