PROUD TO BE POTTERING

According to a survey, one in 20 children think that J K Rowling wrote Pride And Prejudice. Struck by this revelation, we have been doing a bit of research into the matter and have unearthed two never-before-published manuscripts which throw some light on the matter. Some extracts follow:

Harry Potter And The Halfwit Suitor by Jane Austen.

It is a fact universally acknowledged that Mr and Mrs D’Ursley, of number four Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, were in want of a perfectly normal life, thank you very much.

Pride, Prejudice And Pottering by J K Rowling.

Mr and Mrs Bennett, of Longbourn, Meryton JK47 1HP were proud to say that their daughter Elizabeth was looking like a good catch for a rich and famous husband. She was bright, attractive and knew a trick or two if you know what I mean.

I seriously think kids should be more educated about the classics. But these unpublished books seem to be interesting. A lot of people are doing rewrites of classics and turning them into something  their own.
