The movie is based on the novel “Insurgent” by Veronica Roth, which was published back in 2011, and later the first movie in the series was released in 2014.

THE DIVERGENT SERIES: INSURGENT raises the stakes for Tris as she searches for allies and answers in the ruins of a futuristic Chicago.
