Gillian Leigh Anderson was born August 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois. She achieved international recognition for her role as Special Agent Dana Scully on the TV series ‘The X-Files’. During the nine seasons, Gillian Anderson won Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards. Her film work includes ‘The House of Mirth’, ‘The Last King of Scotland’ and two ‘X-Files’ films.
