Ellen Potter

is an American author of both children’s and adult’s books (as Ellen Toby-Potter). She grew up in Upper West Side, New York and studied creative writing at Binghamton University and now lives in Candor in upstate New York. She has been a contributor to Cimarron Review, Epoch, The Hudson Review, and Seventeen. Her novel Olivia Kidney was winner of the Child Magazine Best Book award and was a Best Book of the Year selection for 8-12 year-olds by Parenting magazine.

Karen Rivers

How she started writing her first novel, The Tree Tattoo, after Rivers dropped out of school and moved back into her parents’ basement.   It wasn’t exactly the high point of her life, but she labored away at it for about five years, never thinking anyone would want to publish it.   Then when it was done, instead of trying to sell it, Karen Rivers wrote her second novel, Dream Water.  Then she sold Dream Water and only THEN did Rivers try to sell her first book.  It was all a bit mixed up.  Somewhere along the line she signed with an agent and after that she just started writing and writing more and more and more until she was able to quit her crummy job and write full-time, which, as it turns out, was her dream job.

Kevin J Anderson

is an American science fiction author. He has written spin-off novels for Star Wars, StarCraft, Titan A.E., and The X-Files, and is the co-author of the Dune prequels. His original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series and the Nebula Award-nominated Assemblers of Infinity. He has also written several comic books including the Dark Horse Star Wars collection Tales of the Jedi written in collaboration with Tom Veitch, Predator titles (also for Dark Horse), and X-Files titles for Topps.

Andy Diggle

is a British comic book writer and former editor of 2000 AD. He is best known for his work on The Losers, Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Adam Strange and Silent Dragon at DC Comics and for his run on Thunderbolts and Daredevil after his move to Marvel.

Brandon Mull

is an American writer who is best known as the author of the Fablehaven fantasy series, which is a New York Times’ bestseller. Mull has also written The Candy Shop War. Because many young readers are interested in his books, Brandon crosses the country talking to students, with the message that “imagination can take you places.”
