TWILIGHT ACTRESS HAS ANOTHER MOON ON DVD

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that it will release a new psychochiller starring Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in TWILIGHT and the upcoming THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. The movie was originally lensed (in Ottawa, Canada) as SUMMER and has also been known as SUMMER’S BLOOD, but for some strange reason, it has been rechristened SUMMER’S MOON for its DVD release.

Streeting November 10, the film casts Greene as Summer, a young woman who takes a road trip to track down her estranged father. She winds up in the clutches of a handyman who at first seems friendly, but proves to be one of a family of maniacs who take her prisoner. The cast also includes A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE’s Stephen McHattie, Barbara Niven, Peter Mooney and Danielle Kind; SMASH CUT’s Lee Demarbre directed from a script by Sean Hogan and Christine Conradt. The DVD will include a behind-the-scenes featurette and retail for $27.98; cover art is coming soon. See the trailer (with the title SUMMER’S BLOOD) below. Also on Nov. 10, Lionsgate will give Kathryn Bigelow’s vampire classic NEAR DARK its Blu-ray debut in 1080p high-definition widescreen with 5.1 DTS-HD Master audio.

I personally love horror movies, so I will definitely give this one a try. I gotta say though, it doesnt seem to have the most original plot…but hey, its a horror movie, right? Its just supposed to gross you out and entertain you!

Will you watch this movie?

Do you think Ashley can pull off the tough Horror movie type chick?
