Ashley Greene coveted Bella Swan role in ‘Twilight’
au.ibtimes.com: Ashley Greene revealed that she originally wanted to play Bella Swan, and not Alice Cullen in the Twilight Saga. Greene said she auditioned for Kristen Stewart’s role in the franchise a couple of times.
Speaking to in a forum at New York City, organized by Mark cosmetics, Greene revealed that she originally went for the role of Bella, even as she did not know anything about the Stephenie Meyer’s book series.
“They told me I wasn’t right for it and I was heartbroken-I really, really wanted to be a part of the franchise.”
“Then they came back to me with Alice and I absolutely love the character so I auditioned a few more times and against all odds, I got the part. I screamed, I cried. It was very exciting.”

www.examiner.com: Cameron Bright, you probably already know, was no newcomer to the film industry before becoming “Alec” for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
In fact, Bright had been acting for almost a decade before joining the Saga, but still, at this weekend’s vampire fest in Mexico, he had to admit that the Twilight series has changed his life.
Per local coverage of the event, Bright stated “The difference between Twilight and other movies I did is that the others were important but I never had to do press and travel, but that helped me grow mentally and now the fun is to be in all that is promoting and the fans . . .” Bright certainly has done his fair share of travelling for the Twilight series. For Eclipse, he was one of the castmembers who showed up at screenings all over the country. Also he, Charlie Bewley, and Jamie Campbell Bower alone represented New Moon at last year’s Rome International Film Festival.
‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ hits Louisiana, backed with tough security
www.examiner.com: It seems that filming for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has finally made its way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana today.
Scene Today, a local film news site, reports that along with the arrival of set personnel, security measures have been increased as much as six-fold, and authorities are monitoring the location with the intent to prosecute trespassers.
“So, we’ll have on property at all times a forty-eight man force. We are not taking security on this property lightly,” ST quote the security chief responsible for the location to state. “We will absolutely prosecute every person who trespasses . . . There have been six who trespassed before and they have all been caught.”
Even though I like the cast that was chosen for the Twilight movies, I still don’t imagine them when I read the books 😉 it’s different when I see the movies because I never put much thought into who I would have liked to see as the characters. Ashley seems perfect for Alice and I couldn’t picture her as Bella, besides she and Jackson make a good on screen couple. What did you think of her first audition?
