TV NEWS FOR OCT. 4TH: HAVEN, ALEXANDER SKARSGARD, AND VAMPIRE DIARIES

Eric Balfour and Emily Rose Talk Haven

If you like all things supernatural, Haven might be your new favorite show! FBI agent Audrey Parker, played by Emily Rose, arrives in a small Maine town to investigate a murder, but she gets a lot more than she bargained for! To celebrate the first season arriving in the UK, we caught up with Emily and Eric Balfour, who plays Duke, to chat about the show.

Can you tell us what Haven‘s about?
Emily: “It’s about this small town of Haven, Maine – and this town is full of people that are dealing with these troubles or afflictions and they don’t know how to deal with that. It’s about these three characters – Audrey Parker, Nathan Wournos [Lucas Bryant] and Duke – and it’s about how they navigate this town.”
Eric: “I think the show is in some ways a really great analogy for a lot of society and a lot of people, in the fact that they come to a place looking to be normal. And sometimes the hardest thing to do is just be normal. This town is sort of the epitome of what life is not like when it’s normal.”

The show is based on the Stephen King novella The Colorado Kid – how closely does it stick to that?
Eric: “The novella is really a jumping-off point. Anyone who read the novella before seeing the show would probably understand that better than someone who watched the episodes and then went back and read it. We used the novella as a starting point for where all of these characters are born, and where we take this journey, where we start from. But once you start going on this ride, you’ve sort of left the train station of The Colorado Kid. Although the murder does have a great deal to do throughout the season with what’s happening in the series, it’s really just the beginning.”

Alexander Skarsgard’s Trip To Germany

Source: Celebuzz

What’s sweeter than pics of Alexander Skarsgard? Pics of Alexander posing with some heart-shaped cakes, of course.

The Swedish beefcake was in Munich, Germany for a promotional tour for his hit HBO show, True Blood. While Alexander’s sexy character is more well known for sinking his teeth in human flesh, the star looked extremely wholesome as he posed with some dirndl-wearing ladies and some cakes.

If you can manage to tear your eyes away from Alexander’s cute mug, the heart-shaped cakes read: “True Blood in Germany on Syfy on Sky.”

The only thing that would have made this photo better is if Alexander slipped into some lederhosen.

Alexander Skarsgard Talks Rolling Stone

Most celebrity photo shoots take weeks of planning, but that controversial Rolling Stone cover featuring a nude and bloodied trio of “True Blood” stars? It “just happened on the day” – or so claims Alexander Skarsgård in a new interview with GQ UK.

“We showed up and we shot very PG-13 with our clothes on for basically the whole day, like six or seven hours,” says Skarsgård, who posed alongside co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. “Then towards the end the photographer said, ‘I have this, these shots are beautiful and the magazine is going to be happy with them, but I’d like to try something if you guys are game.'”

After the photographer explained his concept, Skarsgård says, “It was just one of those things in the moment where we all looked at each other, we’d spent all day with the photographer, we felt comfortable with him, we knew that he was great and the atmosphere was right, and we were like, ‘[Expletive] it, let’s do it.'”

The actor admits that no one thought Rolling Stone would actually run the gutsy photo. “They want to sell at Walmart,” he explains. “We thought this was going to be too offensive.”

Nina Dobrev delivered new Vampire Diaries season 2 spoilers & more. NY Post recently talked with the beautiful Nina Dobrev who plays character Elena Gilbert and evil Katherine on CW’s hit show “Vampire Diaries,” and she revealed some new things that are coming up in season 2 of the show, and more.

First, she talked about how intense it is to play both Elena and Katherine. She stated, “It’s been really intense but in a good way. Every single day is a constant challenge and I’m never bored or just sitting around. I’m always being stimulated and these characters are so much fun. Going through all the different shades of playing sweet Elena while also being so ambiguous, spontaneous and crazy as Katherine. It’s really, really cool.”

Next, she revealed that Katherine is going to continue to show how much evil she can deliver when asked about Katherine turning Caroline. She said, “It was cool because although Katherine always has a grand scheme, she always takes on other people to do her dirty work. And Caroline is the perfect little minion. She knows how powerful Katherine is so Caroline will do anything and everything because she’s scared.
