‘SUPERNATURAL’S’ JENSEN ACKLES: COLIN FORD WILL RETURN AS YOUNG SAM

Source: Zap2it.com

We’re excited to learn that fan favorite Colin Ford will be returning to The CW’s “Supernatural” before the end of this season as the younger version of Sam Winchester (usually played by Jared Padalecki).

Just don’t expect another flashback episode, like Season 4’s “After School Special.” This time, 10-year-old Sam will be interacting with present-day Dean (Jensen Ackles).

“I was doing a scene in a field with young Sam,” Ackles revealed Sunday (March 28) at Creation Entertainment’s Salute to Supernatural event. He’s careful not to give too much away about the story line, but he did explain some of the limitations of working with child actors like 13-year-old Colin.

“Children can’t work past a certain number of hours. Production can make us work 20 hours if they want,” Ackles says, “but with kids, it caps at 10 hours.”

While shooting the upcoming episode, they ran out of time, and Ford was legally required to stop working. “Colin hit his cut-off, and he was visibly upset. He wanted to continue to work.”

‘FRINGE’ STAR JOHN NOBLE EXPLORES A NEW SIDE OF HIS CHARACTER

Source: whosnews.usaweekend.com

The Fox sci-fi series Fringe offers one of the more consistently mysterious hours of television these days, and it returns on Thursday with an episode deeply entrenched in its mythology. While audience members have known since last year’s season finale that Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson) is from an alternate universe, FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) finally figured it out in a cliffhanger in the last episode before the winter break. In Thursday’s episode, Peter’s eccentric scientist father, Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble), reveals how it all occurred, flashing back to 1985 and telling Olivia of the circumstances that brought the alternate Peter to our world. Fans will also get a glimpse of the alternate Walter, whom Noble has affectionately dubbed “Walternate.” On a conference call with reporters Friday, the Australian actor talked about what’s in store for the characters as well as the upcoming musical episode on April 29, so read below for his thoughts on what’s going on with Walter. Plus, check back in tomorrow for an interview with Fringe producers J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner, and a sneak peek at Thursday’s episode.
