IS HOLLYWOOD RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS?
Every time we turn around we see yet another film being ‘re-made’. The fancy word used being ‘re-boot’. Films like Conan the Barbarian, The Birds, Westworld, Dune, Hellraiser and Poltergeist. Yes Poltergeist! Why ruin a classic Steven Speilberg movie is my question. We already know about Clash of the Titans, Tron, Nightmare on Elm Street, Red Dawn, and lord knows what else.
Is Hollywood running out of ideas, or do you think they want to cash in on stories that already worked before? What does it say about the craft of film making? Do you think movies are better the second time around?
