The Casts for Twilight, Vampire Diaries, & True Blood hit San Diego’s Comic-Con
Brought to you by OBS staff member Heidi
Each year, Comic Con brings together the best in pop culture for a convention that is pure bliss for the movie, TV, or comic book fan, or your standard pop culture junkie…..
Chances are for vampire fans, this year is the last year the Twilight gang will be all together at San Diego Comic Con. With the final installment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Pt.2, hitting theaters in November, the entire cast gathered for a preview/ Q&A session Thursday Afternoon in Hall H. Visitors were shown exclusive footage from the film and were treated to a cast and filmmaker Q&A session providing details on the epic finale. Panel members included Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), and Ashley Greene (Alice). New faces Maggie Grace (of “LOST”) and Zachary Levi (of “Chuck”) were also in attendance.
Rest assured that even though Twilight will soon be fading from our midst, there will still be plenty of the undead to grace future Comic Cons. The cast of the number-one CW series “The Vampire Diaries” are set to host a panel on Saturday, July 14. Series stars Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Michael Trevino (Tyler), and Zach Roerig (Matt) will join executive producers/writers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec for a video screening and Q&A session….
The True Blood cast will also be hitting the convention in a big way, with a panel Q&A set for Saturday featuring the entire cast, including Anna Paquin (Sookie), Alexander Skarsgard (Eric), Stephen Moyer (Bill), Christopher Meloni (Roman), Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette), Sam Trammell (Sam), Rutina Wesley (Tara), Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica), and Joe Manganiello (Alcide).
Bauer Van Straten, who slays each week as fierce vamp Pam, will also contribute in the Entertainment Weekly: Powerful Women in Pop Culture panel with fellow female vamp Nikki Reed. Woll joins True Blood writer Angela Robinson in the “Girls Gone Genre” panel, where panelists discuss women who write, read, game, and perform in arenas that are statistically dominated by men.
