Summit Stops Distribution Of Twilight Documentary

Summit Entertainment was previously suing the maker of a documentary called Forks: Bitten by Twilight, which followed the phenomenon of Twilight in the town of Forks, Washington. Considering that Summit probably has enough money to turn the producers into werewolf kibble, the Topics producers backed down and agreed today to stop distributing the film and deliver all copies of the documentary for destruction.

Fantastic. Hey, remember when Summit was just a little independent production company too, just trying to make it in the big, bad Hollywood world?

Yeah, they seem to have forgotten about that too, now that they spend their days counting their sparkling vampire $$$.

The name origin of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ soundtrack’s METRIC revealed

The name origin of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack band METRIC has just been revealed by Spin Magazine, and it might not be what you think.

“Some people think it has something to do with the fact that we’re from Canada — which uses the metric system. That was coincidental,” explained singer and guitarist Emily Haines.

“It came from a song that [bandmate] Jimmy [Shaw] and I were working on back in Toronto in the early days, like ’97 or ’98. . . . When we saw that word on the keyboard’s LED screen it looked so electro. It had a no [B.S.] vibe. It was a little cold and standoffish and we’re down with that. It works for us.”

Metric, ‘Eclipse (All Yours)’ Behind the Scenes — Video Premiere

Justin Broadbent

When Metric’s Emily Haines was approached by award-winning composer Howard Shore about writing a track for ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ soundtrack, it was clear that the band was presented with an opportunity to reach an epic new audience. Haines, Shore and guitarist Jimmy Shaw soon got to co-writing the song, ‘Eclipse (All Yours),’ with a certain focus in mind.

“[Shore] was like, ‘What I’m attracted to is Metric, but it’s not about it representing Metric,” the frontwoman says in the following clip. “It’s about you embodying the voice of Bella.”

‘Twilight’ Actor Edi Gathegi Cast In ‘X-Men: First Class’

“Twilight Saga: New Moon” actor Edi Gathegi has found his next role in another fanatically loved franchise. Gathegi will play Darwin in the upcoming “X-Men: First Class,” Deadline Hollywood reports.

Darwin is the first biracial mutant in the comic series, and he has the power of “reactive evolution,” meaning that his body can adapt to any situation. For instance, his skin can become flame retardant in a fire, he can grow gills when submerged in water or he can see in the dark.

“First Class” is to center on the early years of the mutants made famous by the Marvel comic series. James McAvoy will star as a young Charles Xavier, better known by his superhero name, Professor X. “Kick-Ass” director Matthew Vaughn is to helm the film, which has been given a June 3, 2011, release date. Production is expected to begin this summer, with “X-Men” and “X2: X-Men United” director Bryan Singer producing, alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.

Taylor Lautner on how Jacob feels about Edward

Taylor Lautner has discussed how Jacob Black’s feelings toward Edward Cullen have changed in Twilight Eclipse.

The werewolf and the vampire (played by Robert Pattinson) hated each other in the first two flicks, but now they are forced to work together.

‘Jacob hated Edward with a passion, but now they are forced to team up,’ said Taylor, 18.

‘We have a moment where I have to hate and understand him at the same time.’

‘It’s the first moment where we’re able to connect.’

‘As much as we hate each other, we kinda respect each other.’

‘We go: “Let’s put this all aside and fight for Bella.”

Ted Casablanca, E!‘s gossip extraordinaire, says that Lee is “thisclose” to signing on for the role of Garrett, Edward’s nomadic vampire friend. Gossip Cop gives the story a three on their one-to-ten gossip scale, saying it’s too premature to call.  Especially since a rep for Pace says he hasn’t actually been offered the role.
