MEET THE NEW VICTORIA
www.scifiwire.com: In the upcoming third Twilight movie, Eclipse, Terminator Salvation‘s Bryce Dallas Howard will step in for Rachelle Lefevre as the evil vampire Victoria, and Howard said that the filmmakers took pains to make sure the transition was smooth. (Lefevre was let go last summer.)
For one thing, the filmmakers will put a red wig on the otherwise red-haired Howard so that her tresses match those of Lefevre from the first two Twilight films.
“I’m wearing a wig for that film,” Howard said in a group interview last week in Los Angeles, where she was promoting The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond.
Howard added that it was important to all involved that Victoria remain the same character. “There’s a very grounded visual continuity for the character, which is critical,” Howard said. (Spoilers ahead!)
HOW DID THEY MAKE THE CGI WOLF PACK? FIND OUT!
www.twilightsagafansite.blogspot.com: The book described the wolves as having eerily human eyes. “We were told early on that they literally they wanted us to plop the actors eyes into wolf, which always sounds like a good idea on paper but it does not work visually,” said Fredenburg, “so we had to play how much to accentuate them as human eyes and how much to push them towards wolf eyes. The eyelid shape around them is definitely wolf. For the eyeball itself we tended to play a little bit dark so they wouldn’t stick out as these funny white eyeballs in the head of the wolf.”
The wolves also had to switch from human to wolf form and back again, creating some humorous situations. Tom Gibbons, Animation Supervisor, got a chuckle out of the young wolf shape-shifting process and the dilemma it created.
