TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED

Summit Announces Release Date for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”

Summit Entertainment just announced via their various social media outlets that the second installment of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will hit theaters on November 16, 2012.  This is approximately one year after the first installment to be released on November 18, 2011.

There was unconfirmed speculation that Part 2 would be released the following summer, following a similar release schedule as “New Moon” and “Eclipse”.  Given the fact that there would be a year between the films, this could lead fans to believe that more time is needed for post-production work.  Perhaps this is to give adequate time for the extensive CGI needed to create the vampire-human hybrid daughter of Edward and Bella?  If that were to be the case, it would also seem reasonable to assume that the break between the two films could occur with the birth of Renesmee and Bella’s emergency vampirization.
What do you think of this news?  Are you upset that there will be another 12 months between films, on top of the 18-month break between “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1”?  Join us in the forum and share your thoughts – we’d love to hear from you!
