TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS: 100 DAYS UNTIL BREAKING DAWN, CHARACTER TRADING CARDS

100 DAYS UNTIL “BREAKING DAWN” RELEASE

In case you don’t have a handy widget or the days counting down on your calendar, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” will hit theaters in 100 days.  With a release date of November 18, fans of the Twilight Saga will have much to be thankful for when they sit down the following week to partake of their Thanksgiving meals.

“BREAKING DAWN” CHARACTER COLLECTOR CARDS FROM COMIC CON

A few weeks ago we shared a few images from the collector trading cards that Summit provided for the fans attending Comic Con 2011.  We now have more images to share with you, featuring Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie, and Emmett.

Seeing these images and knowing that the release date is quickly approaching makes me so excited about the movie!   I always enjoy the sneak peek that these images provide for the film.   I’m not all that excited about Bella’s look – the wig that they have her wearing looks really odd to me and I think that they could have chosen a more flattering image of her for the group shot.   Edward is looking every bit of the immortal hottie that he is supposed to be.  Long gone are the days of him looking like a well-dressed mime.  It looks like the makeup crew has finally figured things out.  Rosalie and Emmett look wonderful and Emmett’s smirk is perfection.   I’m glad to see Alice’s hairstyle much more pixie-like and Jasper’s hair looks much better this time around.   Many will raise eyebrows at the scarf that Jasper is wearing in the group shot, but they should remember that he is married to the Alice after all, not to mention the fact that he is covered in scars.  I think that the best improvement of all is Carlisle.  He no longer looks like a Ken doll!

Seeing the changes from one film to the next begs the question:  Did the improvements to the characters’ images come about as a result of Stephenie Meyer joining the ranks of the producers for the film?  How much of the changes that we’ll see when the film hits theaters will be a result of the latest director and how much will be from Stephenie Meyer’s influence?
