TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS MAY 26TH: TINSEL KOREY, JACKSON RATHBONE & MORE

Jackson Rathbone Recalls Being Sent To Hospital By Kellan Lutz

We learned last month from Nikki Reed that one of the scariest moments on the “Eclipse” set was when Jackson Rathbone got punched. The third movie is the most action-packed of all the “Twilight Saga” films, and fortunately, Jackson was the only cast member to be hurt in any sort of serious way.

He and Kellan Lutz were practicing a scene in the film in which Jasper is teaching Emmett how to battle newborn vampires, and an accidental punch from Kellan caught Jackson in the temple and ended up with him being sent to the hospital. “Kellan and I were going over our moves — we hadn’t had any time to rehearse — and we were out in mud, so it was really slick and everything,” Jackson recalled to MTV News. “He punched too low, and I didn’t duck low enough. He caught me right in the temple, kind of knocked me for a loop. I didn’t fall, but I was kind of out of it for the next couple takes.”

Tinsel Korey Talks Favorite Scenes

As Twi-Hards know, the actors, directors and assorted crew associated with “Twilight” are typically under strict orders to stay mum about most details related to the films. So although castmember Tinsel Korey — she plays wolf pack den mother Emily Young — couldn’t reveal too much about the upcoming “Eclipse” when MTV News caught up with her, she did open up about the vampire franchise’s latest director.

David Slade (“30 Days of Night”) helmed “Eclipse,” due June 30, and Korey had nothing but kind words for him.

“He’s great. He’s a really different director from Chris Weitz,” Korey told MTV News, comparing Slade to the man who led “New Moon.” “Chris Weitz is an actor’s director, where you focus on all the emotion, whereas David Slade is more technical, so there’s a distance because he’s always thinking about the fuller picture with all the fight scenes.”

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” clip to be shown at tonight’s UK National Movie Awards

HollywoodNews.com: Announced this morning via a National Movie Awards PR affiliate, tonight’s UK-based award show will air what it is calling a “world exclusive” snippet of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. Maclaurin Media made the announcement on Twitter and its official web site, linking to a small article with additional details about the show.

Adding to the intrigue of the announcement is language in the accompanying Digital Spy article, which alludes to footage delivered from Los Angeles by “secure escorted courier”. For weeks, fans survived on crumbs (i.e., the abbreviated trailer), but in recent weeks, Summit Entertainment has made a lot more footage available.

The National Movie Awards will be broadcast live from London at 8PM local time on ITV1.

Romeo Says He’s Up For A Part In ‘Breaking Dawn’

“The one thing is, I might be in the last ‘Twilight,’ so I’m going to have to go with [‘New Moon’ to win over ‘Avatar’],” he said, ready to give Team Edward and Team Jacob a fight. “That’s a little secret out there to all the ladies. Will y’all be Team Romeo?”

Romeo said he’s talking about taking on a small role in the last of a possible two films being made out of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book. “We’re talking to some of the executive producers right now,” he said. “It’s a small [role], but you might see me in there.”

The good thing is that Jackson turned out to be okay and only minor injuries have occurred in the twilight set (remember Rob lifting Kristen?) But wow, getting hit by Kellan still must of hurt. What do you think of this?

I’ve been okay with all the directors chosen for the twilight saga, but one that I’m really waiting to see his work is definitely David Slade. He has an amazing eye for photography and I can’t wait to see how those fighting scenes turn out like.

I’m still wondering is Romeo and Breaking Dawn is true, I can’t picture who he would be, but Breaking Dawn definitely has a lot of characters so I guess we’ll have to wait and see. What do you think?
