Oscars Auto-Tune ‘Twilight,’ ‘Harry Potter’ And ‘Social Network’
www.mtv.com: Sunday night’s Oscar hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway joked early and often about how they were brought in to make the 83rd edition of the movie awards program young and hip. And while their enthusiasm was infectious and their timing spot-on, it was a segment they didn’t appear in halfway through the show that dragged the sometimes-tired movie/music bits kicking and screaming into the present.
Robert Pattinson adopts a puppy from a shelter
www.ibtimes.com: Being on location shoot is not so fun at times so Twilight star, Robert Pattison has adopted a four-legged friend to keep him company when he gets lonely.
The hunk English actor revealed that not all of his friends could make time to visit him when filming in remote locations and therefore a dog, he said, is convenient for him to keep him warm, emphasizing he and a dog has ‘deep connections’.
Breaking Dawn Set Preparations Today
MandysMind blog reports:
I took a drive by Jacob Black’s House and saw preparations being done for filming. Here are some photos from just a few hours ago of Jacob Black’s House.
Mandys Mind also has images of the Cullen’s house backyard where some training might take place.
This will be where some fight training and perhaps a Bella/Emmet arm wrestling match may be filmed. It is a great clearing surrounded by real and extra prop trees. It has filming equipment set up and several props and set dressings.

Not Your Grandma’s ‘Red Riding Hood’
www.newsweek.com: On a gloomy and wet California day, director Catherine Hardwicke curls up in her office on the Warner Bros. lot with a book in her hand. This isn’t your average bedtime story. It’s called Little Red Riding Hood Uncloaked: Sex, Morality, and the Evolution of a Fairy Tale. She only recently discovered it, and she flips through the pages like a schoolgirl hyped on caffeine. “Maybe you like ‘Red Riding Hood’ when you’re 5,” Hardwicke says. “When you’re 10, you start latching on to it for another reason—why did she get in bed with the wolf?” Hardwicke even compares the beast to a love interest. “It represents a dark animal nature which is close to sexuality. In the traditional story, the wolf cross-dresses and lures her into bed. That’s pretty kinky right there! The wolf is the original tranny. What a kinky wolf!” Her entire face lights up. “A granny tranny!”
J.D. Pardo confirmed as ‘Nahuel’ in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’
www.examiner.com: For a few weeks, there were rumors abound that an actor named J.D. Pardo (Jorge Daniel) was cast as “Nahuel” for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and now, thanks to Twilight Lexicon, that information has been confirmed.
Anna Kendrick hits up the Independent Spirit Awards
www.examiner.com: Her movie, 50/50 (prior name was I’m With Cancer), recently got a release date of September 30th of this year. Per MovieWeb, Kendrick’s character is “Katherine, a young psychologist assigned to handle Adam’s case despite her lack of real life experience.” The film is being distributed by Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment and co-stars Seth Rogan, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Last year, Kendrick was a nominee at the Independent Spirit Awards, so her presence makes a good bit of sense.
That Twilight musical with all the other clips at the Oscars last night was hilarious! The scenes they used for Deathly Hallows and Eclipse were really good. It was fun seeing them do a little rap. Did you get a chance to see the full musical last night? What did you think about it?
What do you think about Robert getting a puppy? If I recall well, he had a dog that died not so long ago, it was good that he got one, they are good company and friends. Mine died last year, and I still want to call out to him, maybe he missed having someone like it’s doggy around 🙂
What do you think of the new Breaking Dawn images?
Do you plan on seeing Red Ridding Hood? What do you think of it? I personally, don’t care if it resembles Twilight I really want to see it, what can we do about it, it’s the same director and maybe her same team and crew. It happens with other movie directors, like Guillermo del Toro, he even shows elements of his previous movies in the new ones.
