NEW MOON HELPS GREENE ACHEIVE STARDOM
www.usatoday.com: Just like the first two Twilight movies, Eclipse has a different director, David Slade, who Greene says is “definitely different from Catherine (Hardwicke) and Chris (Weitz). He is technically the most specific director that I’ve ever worked with.” Greene says fans of the franchise should expect Slade to “bring a darker element to this film. He seems to kind of specialize in that.”
That darker side includes Alice as well. “In (Twilight), you see that quality about Alice that makes her so lovable is she’s so positive and upbeat. In (New Moon), you see how she takes these uncomfortable situations and she’s sassy and she brings light to a dark scene,” Greene says. “In (Eclipse), you get to see a little bit of a darker side when her family is in danger. You get to see once again that she is an animal and she’s not human.”

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD ON ECLIPSE
www.mtv.com: “There’s quite an extraordinary finale,” Howard told MTV News of the scene that took weeks of intense fight training to prepare for. “That was very fun to do.”
Those well-versed in Stephenie Meyer’s fantastical world of vampires and werewolves know that the third “Twilight” installment focuses heavily on elements of love and war. In addition to the love triangle involving Edward, Bella and Jacob, “Eclipse” follows the actions of vampire Victoria, who creates an army of newborn bloodsuckers to avenge the death of her mate James in “Twilight.”
Howard was careful not to reveal any details about the pivotal scene, but she did concede that the battle will likely trump the ballet-studio fight in “Twilight” and the Volturi rumble in “New Moon.”

ECLIPSE SECRETS REVEALED!
www.etonline.com: “I was excited about the photo shoot. I wasn’t too nervous, I’ve been in a prom dress before,” said 22-year-old Ashley, looking glamorous in a strapless, floor-length purple gown.
Ashley, whose Teen Prom issue hits newsstands Dec. 22, also showed off a bruise on her arm (rendered practically invisible with makeup) that she sustained while training for the eagerly awaited third ‘Twilight’ film, ‘Eclipse.’
“Until I had to shoot in prom dresses, I didn’t get any bruises. I was doing really well,” she smiled. “It’s horrible, but it’s been really fun. [Our moves] will look really, really good by the time we finally get to the fight sequence because in ‘Eclipse’ … we have to fight this new-born vampire army.”
She adds that her training involves “a lot of learning to run and jump off walls and land on people’s shoulders, and flips and throwing your body just ways that you would never, under any circumstance, normally do.”

But man candy aside, one thing all of us here at College Fashion can agree on is that many of you seem to love the main character Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) and her effortless style. We’ve received tons of emails requesting a breakdown of Bella’s wardrobe, so here it is!
Bella’s style is very low-maintenance, yet she still looks gorgeous at all times. Everything has a pretty yet effortless “I just threw it on” look to it. While it is clear that Bella would much rather stare at Edward all day than spend hours getting ready (who can blame her), she does have a specific sense of style.

TWILIGHT INSPIRES NEW PRODUCTIONS OF BRONTE STORIES
www.guardian.co.uk: The Brontës are back in fashion – with a bit of help from Bella Swan. New films of Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre will shoot next spring, and a script about the teenage fantasies of the four Brontë siblings is in the works.
The film-makers are piggybacking off the success of the Twilight saga, which has sparked a renewed enthusiasm among financiers for gothic romance; the Brontës in particular. Wuthering Heights is one of Twilight heroine Bella Swan’s favourite books, frequently referenced in the third episode Eclipse, whose storyline is inspired by Emily Brontë’s only novel.
The producers of the latest Brontë projects are targeting the Twilight audience with younger casts than previous versions and scripts that emphasise the sensational gothic elements alongside a contemporary psychological realism.

I loved both Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, and I'm definitely interested in seeing how the new films will turn out. My only worry is that the producers/directors will try to “Twilify” it a little too much in order to appeal to Twilight fans. I'd like it if they stuck to the book for the most part, but that's just me.
