TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS: JANUARY 29TH

Kristen Stewart Compares ‘Rileys’ Role To ‘Twilight’

To hear Kristen Stewart talk about her role as an underage stripper in “Welcome to the Rileys” is to understand the way in which the character continues to live in the actress’ mind and affect her emotionally. For all the attention she’s garnered for the “Twilight” series, the 19-year-old actress maintains that her experience on “Rileys” stands out as both the most personal and most natural of her career.

“This … was different from any movie that I’ve done,” she told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. “How do you describe a feeling? I don’t know. It just felt so completely right to be telling this story with [director Jake Scott] and [Melissa Leo] and Jim [Gandolfini], and that’s different to any acting I’ve ever done.”

‘New Moon’ Star Taylor Lautner To Present At The Golden Globes

“New Moon” may not be nominated for a single award at the Golden Globes, but that doesn’t mean the supernatural blockbuster won’t be represented when the 67th annual show airs on Sunday, January 17. Werewolf Taylor Lautner will be on hand as a presenter, according to an Associated Press report, joining a predictably deep pool of top Hollywood talent.

Other confirmed presenters include Christina Aguilera, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, Chace Crawford, Cameron Diaz, Colin Farrell, Jodie Foster, Matthew Fox, Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts and Sam Worthington. MORE HERE

‘Twilight’ Stars Continue To Help Haiti: Vampire Baseball Game Organized For March 20
Not only are they beautiful, intelligent and super speedy, but as it turns out, vampires are also quite a giving bunch. In the wake of Haiti’s catastrophic 7.0-magnitude earthquake earlier this month, “Twilight” stars have come out in full force to aid the cause. Robert Pattinson (beard, and all) made a plea for contributions during MTV’s “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon, while costars Taylor Lautner and Anna Kendrick answered phones. Tinsel Korey took to MTV.com to voice her support for the telethon and Kellan Lutz was spotted donating a basket-full of clothes to a donation center. Now, fans can bolster their efforts simply by going out to a ball game.

“Twilight” stars Peter Facinelli, Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman are teaming up for a special round of Cajun-Style Vampire Baseball in New Orleans on March 20 to aid relief efforts in Haiti. The cast will pitch against a slew of Big Easy celebrities including New Orleans Saints players Kyle Eckel and Lynell Hamilton, in addition to vamp movie veteran Wayne Douglas Morgan, who starred in “The Vampire’s Assistant.”   MORE HERE

I really appreciate how passionate Kristen is about her craft and how she really appreciates opportunities that other actors might see differently.

How great is that fan-made ‘Eclipse’ poster and trailer? Twilight really has some great fans I can’t wait to see what they do for ‘Breaking Dawn’!

This award season seems to be all about Taylor Lautner. You think Rob and Kristen are really complaining?

Vampire baseball anyone? I really love how these guys are using their ‘celebrity’ to raise money for causes around the world.
