For the second year in a row, Meyer swept the top four spots. No other author — not even J. K. Rowling— has done that in the list’s 16-year history.

Meyer’s coattails pulled 16 other vampire titles onto the list of the year’s 100 most popular books.

from eonline.com:

It might be time for another Vampire Wars throwdown. Werewolves are coming to HBO’s True Blood this season, and according to Nelsan Ellis, who plays fan favorite Lafayette, Blood’s werewolves compare quite favorably to Twilight werewolves like Taylor Lautner. He tells us, “I like Taylor, but our werewolves have a little more gravitas, they’re edgier-looking, and they’re just much meaner. They’re vicious.” And apparently True Blood’s wolf pack, led by Joe Manganiello’s Alcide, is not too hard on the eyes, either. Nelsan says, “They are some good-lookin’ chaps! All the eyes on the set turn to the werewolves. They’re like the GQ bastards.”

Taylor Lautner better brush up on his punt, pass and kick skills, as he’s signed on to play in the Celebrity Beach Bowl Super Bowl the day before the big NFL game. He’ll join other dudes like Chace Crawford and Christian Slater on the field, er sand, in the annual star-studded game.

The event will be held on Miami’s South Beach, and will also include plenty of actual NFL players. Last year Peyton Manning and Reggie Bush played. The event will be held on Miami’s South Beach, and will also include plenty of actual NFL players. Last year Peyton Manning and Reggie Bush played.

from ew.com:

As the Sundance film festival kicked off yesterday, we’re getting new looks at two Kristen Stewart movies: The Runaways, in which she plays Joan Jett to Dakota Fanning’s Cherie Currie, and Welcome to the Rileys, in which a man (James Gandolfini) grieving over the death of his mistress becomes the platonic guardian of Stewart’s underaged prostitute. As I’m typing this, the movies are the top two most-viewed profiles on the festival site, with Welcome to the Rileys sitting as the second “most scheduled” film after the James Franco-starring Ginsberg pic Howl.
