TWILIGHT NEWS FOR JAN 20: BREAKING DAWN NEWS, KEEPING UP WITH THE CAST, & MORE

PETER FACINELLI TALKS “BREAKING DAWN” AND BILL CONDON

While on the red carpet for Sunday’s Golden Globes festivities, MTV spoke with Peter Facinelli about filming “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” and working with director Bill Condon.  Peter joked about the director’s musical film background (“Dreamgirls” and “Chicago”), saying that there would be “lots of dance numbers” in the films.

NEW STILLS OF ROBERT PATTINSON IN “BEL AMI”

A couple more stills of Robert Pattinson as Georges Duroy in “Bel Ami”.  Rob co-stars in the film with Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci and plays a seductive social climber in 1890’s Paris.  The movie was filmed last fall and has yet to receive a release date.

ASHLEY GREENE IN “SKATELAND”  POSTER AND TRAILER

A new poster and trailer have been released for Ashley Greene’s “Skateland”, which will hit theaters on March 25, 2011.  In an interview with MTV, Ashley decribed the film as follows:

It follows us through all the trials and errors of becoming an adult and figuring out who you are and what you want. You see love and you see loss and everything in between.”

SWAN HOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

A blogger in Vancouver reports that Charlie Swan’s house is currently being reconstructed near Vancouver to be ready for filming next month.  This is the replica of the house from the first film that was used to film exterior shots during “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”.  All of the interior shots are done on a sound stage – as evidenced by the Christmas treat from director Bill Condon showing fans Charlie’s living room decked out for Christmas.  The blogger notes that the foundation for the “house” was done last fall in preparation for the winter setup of the set and that there is still some exterior work to be done, including landscaping with large trees.

KRISTEN STEWART’S TORTILLA SOUP RECIPE

As we’ve reported previously, Kristen Stewart will cover the February 2011 issue of Vogue.  In addition to the interview and the amazing photos of the actress, the magazine is also including Kristen’s tortilla soup recipe, which received rave reviews from her “On the Road” co-star Garrett Hedlund.  Click here to get her recipe.  Who knows…it might just be the cure for these chilly winter days and nights!

FAN-MADE “BREAKING DAWN” STILL

The first official still from “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” was released last week via Entertainment Weekly and fan sites instantly went crazy over the image, speculating as to what part of the movie the still is from as Bella’s eyes are closed – honeymoon, post-change, end of the film?  Regardless of where in the movie that image falls, it’s pretty darn hot and one fan thought that it was missing something so she fixed it.  Check it out below.

Does anyone else wonder how many people took Peter Facinelli’s joke about the dance numbers seriously?  I can’t help but imagine that there’s some blogger out there freaking out that they’re turning the movie into a musical film.

What do you think of those stills of Rob in “Bel Ami”? Out of the different looks we’ve seen from him in films, which character is your favorite – Cedric Diggory, Edward Cullen, Daniel Gale, Art, Tyler Hawkins, Georges Duroy, or Jacob Jankowski?   My choices would be a dead heat between Edward Cullen and Jacob Jankowski based on the images that I’ve seen so far from “Water for Elephants”.  That haircut looked so good on him!

Does anyone else think that it’s strange to see Kellan with his blonde hair?  What do you think of his Men’s Health cover?

When I first saw the synopsis of “Skateland”, I couldn’t help but think of how close it was to “Adventureland” and I really wasn’t all that interested in it.  Seeing the trailer helped me to see that there are definitely some similarities, but it’s piqued my curiosity enough to make me think about going to see it (or at least check it out on DVD later on).

Will anyone be in Vancouver next month while they film “Breaking Dawn”?  If so, we’d love for you to write and share your experience with us.  We’d be glad to post your story.

I am making the tortilla soup tonight.  We’re getting more snow and a bowl of spicy soup seems like it would be perfect for a night like tonight.  I’ll be sure to share my review with everyone!

What do you think of the embellished still for “Breaking Dawn”?  I think that the feathers are definitely a nice touch.  *wink*
