BREAKING DAWN UPDATE: POSSIBLE FILMING OF BELLA AND JENKS SCENE
There is the possibility that the scene where Bella meets Jenks in a Seattle restaurant has been filmed. Someone recently tweeted the following:
Word is that the restaurant in question was The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. There is no word yet on whether Wendell Pierce or Ty Olsson played the role of J. Jenks.
ROBERT PATTINSON GOES FOR $80,000 IN CHARITY AUCTION
A very lucky (and wealthy) Twihard will get to have an amazing experience when they get to visit the Vancouver set of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” with a stay at the Four Seasons with three of their friends. The set visit, which also includes a meet and greet with Robert Pattinson, was part of an auction to benefit GO Campaign, which benefits orphans and endangered children around the world. The auction closed with a winning bid of $80,000 (and happens to be the highest bid ever for the GO Campaign.
STEPHENIE MEYER IN “WOMEN IN ENTERTAINMENT 2010” LISTING
Stephenie Meyer has come in at number 76 on The Hollywood Reporter‘s “Women In Entertainment 2010” and is also included in their “19th Annual List of the Females Who Rule Entertainment.” There’s no doubt that her books have left a huge mark on the entertainment world with Summit cranking out films for all four of the Twilight books within less than five years and another film being made of her other book The Host.
DAKOTA FANNING LEAVES “IF I STAY”
The LA Times is reporting that Dakota Fanning has backed out of the starring role in the drama film, “If I Stay”, and that she won’t be taking any more leading roles until after she graduates from high school. They report:
But a source familiar with the film said that, after the announcement in October that the star would take on the part, Fanning has opted not to make the movie, which leaves her without a new leading role (and also, incidentally, throws the project into question).
MICHAEL WELCH LENDS SUPPORT TO THE THIRST PROJECT
Michael Welch is lending his support to The Thirst Project, a non-profit organization working to provide clean drinking water and assist with sanitation in Africa. He has helped by filming a PSA for the organization and plans to visit Africa once enough funds have been donated. Welch recently spoke about his new-found awareness on the issue:
“When I take a particularly delicious sip of cold water or take a shower that feels really good, I have said to myself, ‘It’s unbelievable to me that not everybody has access to this.’ So when [Thirst Project founder] Seth Maxwell introduced this cause to me it immediately struck me as something that I wanted to be a part of. It turns out that this crisis is drastically severe: one out of every six people who don’t have clean water in the world. I just thought about myself and five people that I care about, thinking that one of them doesn’t have water. It’s inconceivable. And the effectiveness of the organization as well has been astonishing. In two and a half years they’ve been able to provide clean drinking water to 35,000 people.”
I am really dying to know who is playing J. Jenks. It’s odd that both Ty Olsson and Wendell Pierce do not have their characters listed on the IMDb listing for the film, yet everyone else does.
Did any of you bid on the Vancouver set visit with Rob? I cannot believe that someone is paying more for that than my parents did for the house that I grew up in!! I also can’t help but wonder if there was a group of friends bidding together for it. If not, there are three ladies out there with one AMAZING friend if she’s sharing that with no strings attached!
Kudos to Michael Welch for helping to raise awareness about the lack of clean drinking water in Africa and other countries. My church is doing a similar project right now. So many preventable diseases are contracted from contaminated water.
