TWILIGHT NEWS FOR DEC 11: ROB, MACKENZIE, & KRISTEN; TWILIGHT TOYS AND MORE

A BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY FAMILY

Check out these pics that someone put together to show the amazing resemblance that young Mackenzie Foy shares with her fictional parents.  My first thoughts when I first saw her picture were that she could honestly be a child created by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.  Apparently, I wasn’t the only one to think so.

In an MTV interview, Kristen says: “Yeah Bill Condon was like, ‘Wait until you see this kid. If you and Rob had a kid, this would be it’. And I was like, ‘This is so weird’.”

TWILIGHT TOYS BANNED BY SALVATION ARMY?

There have been reports that some local branches of The Salvation Army are not accepting Twilight or Harry Potter toys for their toy drives.  It appears that this is not a widespread policy and that it may be the policy of those local branches.  According to Examiner

“This is not true. There must have been some miscommunication. We don’t know where that story came from . . . There is no set national policy . . . These are local decisions. But more often it’s the parents who decide what toys they receive. That’s not a decision the Salvation Army makes. We just want to put joy on the faces of children on Christmas morning.”

Evidently, the story had originated with a volunteer who claims s/he was ordered not to place Harry Potter or Twilight toys in the donation bins.

What do you think of the images of Rob, Kristen, & Mackenzie?  Do you agree or disagree with the resemblance?

I have to admit that I am disappointed in that branch of the Salvation Army for turning away toys.  I agree with the stance that they should leave it up to the parent to make the final call on what is or is not appropriate for the child.  Honestly, a Bella Barbie is not going to corrupt a little girl.  She’s dressed better and more appropriately than those skanky-looking Bratz dolls that they apparently don’t have any issues with taking as a donation.  What do you think?
