ROBERT PATTINSON AND TAYLOR LAUTNER MAKE BIGGEST STARS OF 2011 LIST

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner have both landed a spot on NextMovie.com’s list of the 20 Biggest Movie Stars of 2011.

On Robert Pattinson:

His Big Year: A little of the heat seems to be off Pattinson these days. It’s not that he’s any less popular, but he and “Twilight” have become such household names that the shrieks, stalking and height of his hair don’t make headlines anymore. “Remember Me” is practically ancient history. In 2011, he has his big chance to break free of Edward thanks to an enviable role in the highly anticipated adaptation of Sara Gruen’s “Water for Elephants.”

On Taylor Lautner:

His Big Year: As with Pattinson, Lautner is winding down on his “Twilight” duties. While last year saw him hailed as the newest action star, Lautner has taken it surprisingly slow, and many of his much-discussed projects (“Cancun,” “Stretch Armstrong,” “Incarceron”) remain in production. He only has two films scheduled thus far — and only one of them isn’t “Breaking Dawn” — but “Abduction” is Lautner’s first time as a leading man, which is a big jump from Jacob Black.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM TWILIGHT CAST IN 2011

NextMovie.com has also compiled a summary of what the members of the Twilight cast have going on in 2011, aside from bringing us the first installment of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”.   Fans can expect to see Robert Pattinson in two films this year – “Water for Elephants” and “Bel Ami”.  Kristen Stewart recently filmed “On the Road”.  In September, fans can see Taylor Lautner in “Abduction”.  Ashley Greene potentially has five films hitting theaters this year, including “A Warrior’s Heart” with co-star Kellan Lutz.  For a complete listing of where you can find your favorite Twilight star in theaters this year, click here.

Do any of you have any pets named Bella (or any other Twilight characters)?  Does this revelation of Bella being the number one dog name surprise you?

I am so glad that Rob will be presenting at those award shows.  With “Water for Elephants” coming out in April, I’m not surprised by this.  I am ecstatic that he will be at the Oscars because that means he’ll be in a suit or a tux!

What do you think of the “Drive Angry” trailer?  Are you interested in seeing it at all?  Does the fact that Billy Burke is in it sway you one way or the other on going to see it?

Am I the only one who found Queen Latifah’s moment with Rob, Kristen, and Taylor to be really awkward?   I’ve always thought that she was funny, but that was just kind of painful to watch.  I thought that calling them by their character’s names just upped the awkward factor exponentially.  Most of that bit could have been done just as easily by using their real names and tweaking the questions.  What did you think – awkward, lame, or other?

Congrats to Rob and Taylor for making that Biggest Stars list.  I, for one, can’t wait to see “Water for Elephants” in the spring and Taylor’s fall release, “Abduction”, sounds really intriguing.
