tvbythenumbers.com: TRUE BLOOD HITS 4.43 MILLION VIEWERS

tvbythenumbers.com has the stats on the most recent True Blood episode:

Sunday’s episode of True Blood notched 4.43 million viewers, up versus the previous week (and previous series high) when it had 4.27  million.    It also had a 2.3/6 (rating/share) with adults 18-49, up a tenth from last week’s 2.2 rating.  Note: these numbers are only for the initial airing and don’t include the encore airing.

Will it hit 5 million by the season finale?  The show keeps growing, and even its DVD sales are going strong after 11 weeks, and has pushed past 102 million units and $42 million in DVD sales in the USA.  It’s a pretty phenomenal story for HBO, and the show just keeps getting better.  The last couple of weeks were great.

True Blood is like a runaway train lately, they just keep racking up the viewers. It bodes well for other series like The Vampire Diaries.

I enjoy True Blood immensely although it’s veered away from the books quite a bit. Were you one of the 4.4 million viewers from Sunday? Are you surprised that True Blood keeps gaining in popularity?
