Things are amiss in Winchesterville. But unlike when things were amiss during the Season 6 premiere, this new, current amiss-ness is intriguing. Our suspicion that the brothers’ relationship was intentionally weird has been confirmed, and Sam and Dean are finally airing their concerns about the strange new relationship in the open.

Sam hasn’t been right since his visit to Hell, just as Dean wasn’t right in Season 4 when he returned from the Earth’s fiery furnace. We don’t know if Sam is secretly just in need of a good, long cry, or if it’s something more, ahem, supernatural.

While a second season on ABC seems like a real long shot, ABC hasn’t officially cancelled The Gates (unlike say, My Generation). One of the show’s stars however has been told that there won’t be a second season.

The Gates follows a Chicago police detective (Frank Grillo) who moves his family to a gated suburban community to become the neighborhood’s security chief. They soon discover that their new neighbors aren’t as normal as they appear to be.

After weeks without news of The Gates’ status, Grillo recently tweeted, “I’m told from a friend at ABC that The Gates are closing. No season 2 Still unofficial but that’s the latest.”

Three generations of alien ruler attended NYCC on Saturday — Visitor royalty Laura Vandervoort, Morena Baccarin, and Jane Badler were on the scene and ready to talk up the Visitors’ return this November.

We were running around like maniacs on Saturday and were unable to see the new footage that debuted at the V panel. Fortunately, the V files put together a synopsis of the teaser, which includes a scene of Anna offing a subordinate with her tail. Perhaps the most enticing preview was Anna’s meeting with her estranged mother, Diana:

Anna is in a strange cave – like setting.. A woman emerges from the shadows; it is Diana, played by Jane Badler – the original Diana from the original series.. We learn that Diana has been exiled to this cavern by her daughter because she had became too emotional and hasn’t even seen her daughter for fourteen years…

Some of those pictures from Being Human make me concerned that they will just be copying the British version. Why make a remake if your just going to mark it frame for frame? You can stay true to the original with mimicking it. I never got around to watching The Gates, I thought it sounded interesting but by the time I heard about it I had missed the first couple of episodes so it didn’t seem worth it. I am excited for the new season of V though. I love the way they’re tying it into the original series.

Do you like the way Supernatural is evolving? are you worried about The Gates? What do you hope to see in V this season?
