True Blood’s Alexander: ‘Wearing fangs is so hard’

Source: whatsontv.co.uk

Alexander Skarsgard, who plays True Blood’s Eric Northman, has no problem baring all on screen but isn’t so keen on wearing fangs.

Talking to the MediaGuardian, the Swedish actor who plays the bloodthirtsy 1,000 year old Viking vampire Eric, says getting used to wearing fangs was a big challenge: “I had to practice hard, they’re pretty big. In the begining, it was difficult because you have a lisp.

“The fangs come out when you’re angry, excited, aroused, so it’s tough, when you want to look menacing…”

Currently in it’s second series on Channel, True Blood follows the stories of small town waitress, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her involvement with the town’s vampires, Eric and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

HitFix Interview: Blair Brown talks ‘Fringe

Source: hitfix.com

Back in August, I was on the “Fringe” set in Vancouver.
During that long afternoon, I appeared as an extra in a scene from the episode titled “Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?” That episode, the season’s fourth, will air this Thursday (Oct. 14).

I’ll be telling you more about my scene and my experience acting with John Noble — I’m gonna keep spoilers to a general minimum, but still… — later in the week, but I also got the chance to chatter with several of the show’s stars.

As I listened back over the interviews, a couple of them were a little too spoiler-y to be posted earlier, but if you’ve watched as far as the episode two weeks ago, the one which which ended with Walter realizing that William Bell’s will had left Massive Dynamic to him, I don’t think there’s anything that should be untoward.

Powers TV show is almost a go, and Marvelman will be back within the year

Source: io9.com

A big announcement for the TV version of the superpowered cop comic Powers is coming within days, says creator Brian Michael Bendis. Plus Marvelman is back within 12 months, and the CrossGen revival brings back one of its greatest writers.

We already know a little about the TV adaptation of Powers, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Oeming’s creators-owned book about cops trying to do their jobs in a world where lots of people – but definitely not everybody – have powers, and the two main cops are hiding secrets about their superpowers (or lack thereof). First announced back in February 2009, the show is being developed for FX, and Journeyman creator Kevin Falls is reportedly working with Bendis on the adaptation.
