VAMPIRE DRINKS: WILL YOU BUY THEM?

With the end of vampire mania nowhere to be seen, the products that help promote the genre just keep emerging! I actually saw my first glimpse of the Tru Blood beverage at a midnight DVD release party for New Moon here in Memphis. It must be a very tasty drink because most of the crowd was seen guzzling a bottle as if they were needing to quench a thirst that could not be sated. Now, Tru Blood is not the only vampire drink available to the public. Take a look at the products below and tell us what you think. Would you buy any of them? If so, would you actually drink them or just add them to your vampire memorabilia?

The powers behind HBO’s vampire hit “True Blood” — currently in the middle of its third season — came to Comic-Con on Friday bearing a provocative reel of highlights from episodes coming up the rest of this summer. Yes, that’s right — some mild spoilers follow!

Executive Producer Alan Ball thanked the raucous crowd in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center for its support and described the clip reel as a “gift to you.” And an appropriately puzzling gift it sometimes was, with some brief glimpses of a red-eyed werewolf, quite a bit of fang-sprouting and a suddenly bad-ass Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) toting a shotgun and yelling: “Get out of my house, bitch!”

Drinks like Blood Energy Potion are novelty items. Too expensive to drink everyday yet people will purchase them just to try it. I personally refused to pay over 20 dollars for a six pack of Tru Blood drink. If I want orange soda…I’ll drink Sunkist. Or on the other hand, they’re great for themed parties!

What are your thoughts? Have you tried Tru Blood? Was it worth the hype? How about this Energy Potion?

Are you the type that reads everything there is to know about a show, including spoilers? Or do you like to be surprised?
