Ever since the death of her parents at the age of 17, Cassie has been dreaming about a dark haired man. He always comes to her in times of trouble to comfort her and help her through the toughest of days. But now after the devastating break-up with her boyfriend, Cassie struggles with separating reality from her dreams.

During a trip to her family’s beach house, her dream man becomes her lover and Cassie finds herself longing for this man to be in her life. But trying to find out the truth about him leaves her questioning her very existence and sanity.

Review:

Cassandra has had a very troubled life.  She was the only survivor in an accident that steals her parents away.  She dreams that a mysterious handsome stranger pulled her from the wreckage, only to deliver her to the hospital just in time to save her life.  It is the same stranger that has been watching and guarding over her for her entire life.

She tries to hold herself together and at the same time she puts together clues that may point to her savior as the prime suspect for some gruesome vigilante murders.

Alexi has loved Cassandra from afar for years.  He has protected her at every turn and yearns for a time when he can reveal himself to her and possibly win her heart.  Will he sacrifice everything he is as a vampire for a life that includes a happily ever after with Cassandra?

This book was a good quick read – almost novella in length.  It still was a great combination of suspense, steamy sex and vampires.  The only drawback was the length itself.  I found myself wanting more details about the characters and their history. I will still be reading the sequel because I just have to find out what happens.

I would recommend this book to readers that love a good steamy Vamp story.  A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon…
