Synopsis:

Somewhere between the first twinkling of stars in the night sky and the break of dawn, two souls from two unique worlds collide, creating an everlasting supernova.

Kerrigan Cruz and Dominic Grayson are among the chosen few who have the gift, or the curse, of being able to walk between two worlds. It is on the cusp of where these beings meet that everything changes, and life as they know it is turned upside down. Fantasy becomes reality and what shouldn’t be, is.

Forced by destiny, their chance encounter is breathed to life by the one thing that can make even the most impossible of impossibilities a reality. Something so complex in nature, yet as simple as a flicker of thought to exercise. Most normal people go about their everyday lives never even suspecting its existence. But it is out there…it is the Light.

The universe has granted the power of the Light to a chosen bloodline charged with the responsibility of protecting our right to choose our destiny. But in the shadows, darkness wreaks havoc in the lives of the unsuspecting. Yes, another world does exist, and it holds secrets beyond what the most vivid imagination can comprehend.

Review:

Kerrigan Cruz always knew that she had a special bond with her Grandmother, Availia.  But she never dreamed it was something so special.

After seeing her Grandmother die in a dream, Kerrigan awakens to find out that her dream has become reality.  She decides to leave behind her structured life in Chicago to tie up her Grandmother’s affairs in St. Augustine.

Palm trees and sultry weather is not the only thing that she finds when she arrives.  Her Grandmother has had an equally sultry guest taking shelter in her house in the form of Dominic Grayson. Kerrigan can’t get past the feeling that she has seen Dominic before and she knows that she can’t shake her instant attraction to him.

Dominic was saved from a fate worse than death by Availia and in return he promises to take care of her Granddaughter.  He had no idea that Kerrigan was going to be so beautiful, so gifted and so hard to resist.  He has a secret that he hides that could destroy everything but he will gladly sacrifice himself for Kerrigan.  Even if he loses his soul in the process.

Supernova kicks off the saga in rare form and has everything that I love in a paranormal romance.  It has the perfect combination of drama, comedy, angst and steamy romance.  There were moments that I was swooning and then there were moments that I would laugh out loud.  Kerrigan’s roommate, Gabe was both endearing and hilarious.  I think every girl deserves a friend so loyal and true.

The story keeps the reader on the edge of their seat and you don’t want it to end.  I highly recommend this for readers who love a paranormal romance that breaks the mold.  Supernova indeed lives up to the title.
