OBS SHORT SECOND LIFE OF BREE TANNER CONTEST WINNER

OBS has chosen a winner for our Short Second Life of Bree Tanner Contest.

The object of the contest was to write an alternate ending to the story as if Bree Tanner had lived.

If Bree Tanner had lived, where would she be? What would she be doing? Where would she be living? Would she have found a mate? If so, who?

Our winner and OBS fan Lucy Zhang came up with the best possible concept of an alternative ending:

It has been 10 years since that fateful day in the clearing. It has been 10 years since I lost my love, Diego. Jane had shown me mercy and had let me go. I traveled to Vancouver and found Fred. We decided to travel together for a time, but it did not feel right. Fred found a mate, his other half. I felt like too much of a third wheel, so I left.

I have not found anyone in my travels that can ever fill the empty void in my life that was once filled by Diego. I may have only known him for a few days, but they were the best days of my existence. I remember pieces of my life as a human. I was from a religious family. I hope that I can be with Diego again in the afterlife, whether that be in heaven or hell. A life without Diego is not worth living. A world without him is unbearable. I still live on because I know that Diego would not want me to end my life prematurely. I will die when it is my time, no sooner or later. I am a survivor now, nothing more.

Congratulations to Lucy Zhang!!

She will be receiving The Short Second  Life of Bree Tanner an Eclipse Novella by Stephenie Meyer.
