‘Disconnect’ to open Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Fans of Alexander Skarsgard in Santa Barbara: better start getting gussied up. Alex is likely to grace your California city with his fine, fair-haired presence this month.

The True Bloodheartthrob’s latest film, Disconnect, will open the 28th Santa Barbara International Film Festival,Deadline reports, and our favorite Swede is expected to attend.

The drama examines how modern technologies designed to bring people together can actually drive emotional detachment between them. The film co-stars Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses), Paula Patton (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol), Max Thieriot (House at the End of the Street), and Frank Grillo (Zero Dark Thirty), among others.

Oh, and you lucky ducks will get a double-dose of hotness: Leonardo DiCaprio will be honored at the festival.
