pieces-of-olivia-charleston-haven-melissa-westWhat a wonderful new series that just hit the shelves. I truly loved reading this book and I couldn’t put it down. Tears and heartache, love and happiness: sometimes you have to have one in order to find the other. This is an emotionally charged read and will have you so wrapped up in it that you will find yourself crying. Tissues please!

Olivia wants to get away from the reality and horror of her past but the nightmares follow her everywhere. When it came time to go to college Olivia picked The College of Charleston, a place where no one knows her and her past.

Preston Riggs has problems of his own and a past that he can not escape. A hurt so deep that he has trouble committing to women and after 10 days he breaks it off.

Olivia’s roommate Kara Marcus is a breath of fresh air and they hit it off immediately. Kara is one of these people who’s minds are always going and sometimes jumps the track going a different direction. She’s fun and lovable exactly what Olivia needs right now.

Heart full of guilt Olivia is in therapy to comes to terms with her past and Rose her therapist is as crazy as they come. With the help of a new place, new friends and a new therapist it looks like Olivia is coming to terms with the nightmare until Preston’s past comes back to haunt him and Olivia both. Their past has thrown her in a downward spiral as it all comes rushing back.

Preston and Rose refuse to give up, they open their hearts and arms for Olivia in order for her to let go of the guilt for being a survivor. When the tears begin to flow the guilt is finally washed away and Olivia can finally live instead of just existing.

This is just an amazing story and a wonderful book and I am looking forward to others in the series.
