Chapter 26

Beira is with Donia, ranting over the fact that Aislinn is the queen. She demands that something is done to stop her and Keenan’s union, and orders Donia to ‘take care of her’ reminding Donia what Keenan did to her. Donia finally agrees.

Keenan is distraught that Aislinn ran from him after reversing the effects of Beira’s kiss – and his seeks Niall and Tavish’s counsel. Niall implores him to not seek her out – not until he has calmed down some. Donia enters, and boldly tells Keenan that Beira has ordered her to kill Aislinn. Keenan dismisses Tavish and Niall, and Keenan and Donia discuss the goings on of late – ie – Beira’s plans and the fact that Aislinn is definitely the Summer Queen. Donia urges Keenan to convince Aislinn that she has no choice, she has to become his queen.

Chapter 27

Aislinn wakes in Seth’s arms, and thinks of all she has learnt, and how she’ll tell Grams. Seth and Aislinn have a few tender moments, and breakfast together – the idea that she is not giving Seth up solidifying in her mind. She leaves his place, and returns to her Grams’ – only to find Keenan waiting for her. He begs to speak to her, and she agrees, just not there. Just then, Grams opens the door, asking Aislinn whom she’s speaking to, and sees Keenan. It turns out that Keenan and Grams know each other, and that Grams hates Keenan.
