Who Should Replace Smallville‘s Superman On The CW?
With Smallville ending this year, the CW is actively looking for a replacement superhero series from DC Entertainment. But does Blue Beetle really have it in the bag?
CW boss Dawn Osteroff has admitted that she’d love to have another DC Comics’ super character to fill Clark Kent’s decade-old boots when Smallville finishes, telling reporters:
So many fans have said, ‘Don’t leave us hanging!’ I’d love to say, ‘“Smallville’s” coming off the air and something else (from DC Comics) is coming on.’ But we don’t want to put something on that we don’t believe in. You have to make sure the execution is excellent.

Will Young To Star In £3m Supernatural Drama
Living – the channel best known for Britain’s Next Top Model – has commissioned it’s first original UK drama and they have hand-picked Will Young to be the star.
Beldam will be a £3m supernatural thriller set in a disused asylum that is being converted into loft-style apartments, with the Pop Idol winner playing a young man desperate to find out why his brother has died.
Alexander Skarsgård interview: True Blood lust
I ask him how such an impulsive, emotional person came to be known for playing two characters who are so outwardly cool as Brad Colbert and Eric Northman.
‘I can definitely relate to them,’ he says. ‘But I’m different in real life. They’re subdued and calm, I’m more playful. I’m pretty intense when it comes to relationships, platonic ones as well. If I feel a connection with someone, I’m willing to go there.’
Is he attracted to extreme situations? ‘Sometimes, yeah, but I also know I have to be careful because there is something destructive within me, I think, and I can have a tendency to just search for the kicks. I can’t really get too close to someone who’s too destructive, or too dark, because then I might go down the rabbit hole myself.’ It wasn’t long, though, before he decided to try his luck down perhaps the biggest rabbit hole of them all, and flew out to Hollywood in 2004. ‘The industry is very small in Sweden,’ he says. ‘There are a lot of great young filmmakers coming up now but 10 years ago it was very different. I was fortunate enough to be working, but when I was 28 or 29 and the offers were still “college guy, misunderstood, wants the girl”, I just needed something different.’
The Vampire Diaries clips and leaking info have me very interested in the next season. I can’t believe it’s less than a month away.
I really enjoyed reading more about Alexander Skarsgard’s home life and family.
