Having been called by Rodney, Cassie arrives at the hospital, where she finds Rodney in Richard’s room, but asks where Ceese is. Rodney points over his shoulder, at his new shadow, and says that Ceese can explain everything. Ceese tries to explain, but Cassie interrupts her by saying that Richard needs to leave the hospital before his identity is discovered. Rodney replies that Richard is still unconscious due to his lack of blood, but the doctors won’t give him any until they run some tests. Cassie, knowing this to be a bad thing, blames Rodney for the situation they find themselves in. Angry, Rodney replies that it is Ceese’s fault and he’s leaving, but Ceese begs him to stay. Giving in, like everyone seemed to do for Ceese, Rodney agrees to stay. Suddenly, Richard awakes and asks where he is. Cassie fills him in about the events that transpired and then digs in her bag for some blood, handing it to Richard. After he’s done drinking Cassie informs him that she has more at her place and he demands she take him there. Getting up to get dressed, Cassie tells Rodney to arrange a distraction so they can escape unnoticed. When he asks where to meet them she considers lying, but decides to tell him that her car is on level three, if only for Ceese’s sake.

When they arrived at Cassie’s apartment, they made sure to park as close to the buildings back entrance as they could. Taking the stairs to avoid people, they headed to the fifth floor, where Cassie and Rodney lived. Upon entering the apartment, Rodney remarks on how the place is extremely dark, to which Cassie states she blacked out all the windows.
