SUMMARY:

Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness. Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness.

Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would’ve been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf.

Then, Sienna changes the rules and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet. Yet as they strip away each other’s secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight…

A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna’s darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home…and the alpha who is its heartbeat…

REVIEW:

Hawke and Sienna are both magnificent characters, strong, unyielding, kind and loyal. Together they are all that times 10. Sienna is beautiful, and when reading about her you forget that she is PSY because she has so many characteristics that are human. I love that she pushes Hawke and challenges him at every turn, not on purpose, but she being who she is. I found her fascinating, the way she handled Hawke and owned her feelings for him. It was refreshing. Hawke was every bit the alpha wolf, I wasn’t fussy on the way he got held up on the age difference, because its not as if she was a changeling or a human she is PSY…raised to be silent, used as a weapon from the time she was 5. She was no typical 19 year old. I just thought he should have recognized that sooner. I did love how he was upfront with her, telling her that she was his but in the same breath that she was not his mate and that he had lost her when they were children. I found the two characters Hawke and Sienna separate from each other amazing, but together they were explosive. Their chemistry was on the mark.

I found the secondary story of Walker and Lara amazing. It was a nice story of them coming together, with all the issues of the impending war and the hits on the Snow Dancer pack it was nice to see a positive in the middle of of that impending doom.

Overall, I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It had everything I look for in a book, solid characters and story line, great chemistry between the characters. This book is what all books by Nalini Singh are…..great.
