Review
As one of the biggest fans of Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams I was very excited to see this movie. And of course, I was very pleased with the final result! The portrayal of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson was completely different than any of the previously released Sherlock Holmes movies. It was really interesting to see how Holmes broke down the science involved in fighting and solving crimes. This new outlook on Holmes and Guy Richie’s visionary genius made this a fantastic movie.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law make a great crime-fighting duo. Holmes and Watson were roommates being broken apart by Watson’s engagement to Mary Morstan (played by Kelly Reilly). Holmes used his extensive knowledge of Watson’s personality and faults to try and lure him back to being a bachelor, but Mary put up quite a fight. Downey and Law created great humor and fun mixed in with the dark backstory of the movie.

Another contender for the screen was Rachel McAdams who plays Irene Adler, Holmes’ past love. Irene is a tough female criminal whose independence has brought her trouble, making her involve Holmes in her life once again. McAdams gave a phenomenal performance to equal her co-star.

I highly recommend this movie because of the quality of the performances, the action, and suspense that Guy Richie brings to the screen once again.
